  1. i keep seeing local writers referring to the pistons as "one of the most storied franchises in the nba." are they? i dont think of them that way. they've had two periods of success in 76 seasons. that's just a normal amount of success for a franchise that's been in the league for that long. lakers, celtics....maybe the bulls because of jordan and spurs because of lottery luck. the warriors because of their recent run. the pistons are also rans for a vast majority of their existence.
  2. quick! let's give up the farm for 1/3 of a season of og anunoby! lol.
  3. and they have a weird rivalry with detroit thanks to jalen greene being an ass. so they'll probably try to put it on us. and dillon brooks - also an ass - is on that team.
  4. how each qb has played against the top defenses in point per drive this year:
  5. that's the big problem(s). the obvious solution is to fire the coach. he's been terrible and he isnt getting anything out of his players. in any normal instance, he would be fired. but gores isnt going to eat $80 million and monty isnt going to walk away from that (yet). so were stuck. the other problem is that they have no assets. none. not only do they not have any extra first round picks, they OWE a first round pick to the knicks for the isaiah stewart trade. weaver's tenure has been a disaster. the only thing he's done right is take cade #1. thats it.
  6. they've been really nice to wing stop by not having them have to give up free wings for a pistons win!
  7. monty actually shortened his bench for the first time all year. and they were competitive. huh, who knew that playing the pistons bench less might mean a better chance to win? oh yeah, everyone. everyone knew that.
  8. in fairness to monty, he didnt want the job. his wife is undergoing cancer treatments and he was going to get paid to do nothing. however! he took the damn job DESPITE your wife having cancer. the least you can do is pretend to try.
  9. i'm looking forward to the beat writers tomorrow telling me how its all coming together now that bogey and cade are on the same page. if only livers were able to play troy's vision would have been complete!
  10. they did it! i thought they might fail there at the end but they pulled defeat from the jaws of victory! the single season nba record losing streak! great job troy! wonderful work arn! i hope your son got some nice agent fees for the pistons drafting his clients! ok boys. TWO MORE and you set the all time record. si se puede! si se puede!
  11. i feel bad for cade. he's doing it all and its still not enough.
  12. when the pistons finally win, will the fans storm the court? will gores hang a banner?
  13. i went to law school with a guy who went to notre dame. good athlete but but not a great basketball player. his intramural team was tapped to scrimmage against notre dame's women's team - which was pretty good at the time - and they routinely routed them. wasnt even close. in a game built on being bigger, stronger, faster, and the ability to jump higher, men will always win.
  14. no way. then theyre just terrible. this is the only way for change to happen. and theyre interesting. once they win they will be just another bad team. this is historic.
  15. come on boys! need to lose this one to keep the streak alive!
  16. wiseman is over 7 feet tall can shoot a mid range, and is athletic. he's just lazy and stupid and knows nothing about the gane of basketball. given his physical gifts, the fact that he is so absolutely terrible really is a sight to behold. the fact that weaver gave up an average nba player to trade for him is a fireable offense. but we all know he's never getting fired. and even if he did, the pistons media would still say it was a good gamble trade based on potential.
  17. theyre good at safety. corner is the problem. hopefully this new found ability to get home on the blitz continues to bring pressure.
  18. patrick mahomes is a much better qb than jared goff. no offense to jared goff. patrick mahomes is a much better qb than most qbs in the history of the nfl. we had the same argument about lamar jackson for the entire offseason. that argument seems to have quieted down a bit.
  19. to me, the niners still have a qb problem. purdy has put up amazing numbers, but when the stuff hits the fan, i'm not sold on him.
  20. do you think jared goff is better than patrick mahomes?
  21. its good to see expectations so high in detroit. "im amazed they show up to work!"
  22. mahomes misses tyreek hill a lot more than eric bienemy. mahomes' loss was tua's gain.
  23. i'm very excited about danielson.
  24. cowboys have been really really good at home. theyve scored over 30 points in every home game this year, including 30 on the jets, 38 on the pats, 43 on the rams, 41 on the seahawks, and 33 on the eagles. some of that was their defense in those games but its still pretty impressive. theyre a totally different team at home.
