  1. lions are playing a home playoff game. they should win.
  2. thinking about the playoffs, i was surprised they beat bama and was surprised they didnt beat washington by more. their aversion to letting jj run or using play action allowed washington's defense to load the box with 8 guys after the first quarter. it wasnt until they needed a drive in the late third/early fourth before they finally started to use jj. in fairness, all i hear is that jj was hurt. i think they could have (and should have) dominated washington. their defense cant hang with michigan's running game unless they completely sell out. otoh, i'm glad they didnt play texas because that team was built to beat michigan's offense. they would have been there too if sarkisian was smart enough to run the ball...
  3. why?
  4. my wife's firm has a london office and they couldnt give tickets away to those london games. the nfl is probably more popular in germany, they seem to be nfl crazy. which is why they should put the lions in germany because of amon ra.
  5. that 85 team is really underrated. lost to chuck long on the road. didnt help that the iowa team got destroyed in the rose bowl.
  6. of the teams in my lifetime, i'd say this team was equal to bo's early 70s teams and 1985 harbaugh team. i'd put 2023 ahead of 1997.
  7. according to srs, this was michigan's seventh best team of all time. behind the mad magicians, a few 1940s teams, and bo's 1973 squad. 1997 ranks 29th, btw. sandwiched in between the 2021 and 2022 teams.
  8. can you imagine if they lose 28 straight AGAIN? that would be amazing.
  9. how lucky was this team that the raptors decided to trade their best player the day before they played detroit? if they dont make that trade on that day - so they wouldnt have barrett and quickley in the lineup - the pistons are probably looking at 35 straight losses right now instead of 6.
  10. mike mccarthy if he loses to green bay.
  11. they'll get a post season ban. for at least one year. harbaugh will get a show cause order.
  12. 22 point loss to the other worst team in the league. no cade....but still. but that will be the excuse.
  13. finebaum going on the show and repeatedly saying michigan beat alabama's ass was the last straw.
  14. whoa. harbaugh beat him so bad he quit.
  15. not necessarily. remember, this is the bears youre talking about.
  16. if pete carroll remains in the organization i can guarantee you where harbaugh IS NOT going to...
  17. lyles isnt even very good, but he's more of the "theoretical" stretch player they need at that position. lyles shoots 36-40% from 3. bagley never shoots 3s and clogs the lane without doing anything you need from a player like that (rolling to the basket on pnrs, playing defense, blocking shots). another "big man" weaver acquired based on draft pedigree and the fact that he's tall rather than actual ability or fit with his franchise cornerstone.
  18. that's basically for 240 games. i doubt he plays half that.
  19. isnt bagley hurt? if not, there is no reason why wiseman is playing over him. if he IS hurt, that's also not a surprise because he has always been hurt. either way, its another trade that has not worked put for detroit. because troy weaver is bad at his job.
  20. every now and then i think the bears will do something smart and then they continue to remind me that they are still owned by the mccaskeys. the bears not getting harbaugh is a wonderful thing.
  21. the value of this asset has increased exponentially for gores. no way they sell it unless they need cash immediately. btw, someone should interview his brother about why he left their original company. the media is so weak nowadays.
  22. two things can be true: sean mcvay is a really good coach. sean mcvay and jared goff's relationship didnt work well enough and at least part of that is sean mcvay's fault.
  23. i'm not saying stafford is THE reason they won the super bowl, but they did win the super bowl. and i do think he played a big part in that. thus, the matt stafford trade was a success for the rams.
  24. the rams won the super bowl. that is thw very definition of doing well.
  25. i agree the titans are devoid of talent. i also think nfl teams can get talented in a hurry. ask houston. tennessee's problem is that they have tied themselves to will levis.
