  1. duren is 95% from the line in his last ten or so games? i still have an outside hope that he develops a mid range game and turns into a poor man's mcdyess. chris webber went from non-shooter to a decent mid range guy... again, dare to dream! i actually think that's more likely than ausar turning into an average shooter. ausar's shot is broke. they need a coach who can figure out how to use him because monty aint it.
  2. livers is useless. bad on offense and bad on defense. he's not even an nba player. and remember the beat writers telling us all last season and all offseason how much livers will make a difference and how great he is? that comes right from the front office. these guys believed livers was a difference maker. they have to be fired. killian is at least decent on defense and can run the offense. he's an nba bench player on an average nba team. but livers is useless. sasser might one day be a bench scorer. maybe. or maybe he develops into jalen brunson? haha. dare to dream.
  3. jesus effing christ. YOU ARE BAD AT BASKETBALL!!!!! THAT'S WHY!
  4. ivey, two seconds, and a 2029 first for pascal siakem. followed by a max contract for the 30 year old. followed by duren, burks, and a 2030 first for zach lavine.
  5. portrait of the douchebag as a young(er) man. it really sucks to have a despicable person as your owner. if youre going to be despicable and own a company that takes advantage of society's most vulnerable at least be competent at running the franchise. incompetent despicability is the worst kind of despicability.
  6. i felt pretty good against louisville. i knew that villanova game was a lost cause. that was a great villanova team. please dont sully this thread by mentioning michigan basketball.
  7. no one is going to trade for ville husso. he's making $4.75 million and he isnt any good. were trying to REPLACE him.
  8. draymond works because he has/had two of the greatest shooters in nba history playing alongside him. ausar doesnt have that and isnt going to ever have it. i agree with everything else youve said.
  9. i dont hate him now. of course i wont hate him if he becomes a great goalie. if he bombs out will you hate him?
  10. lyon has been ok. husso has been bad considering what were paying him. reimer has been as expected: not good.
  11. the refs will always make mistakes (especially in dallas). i would like more of an acknowledgement from the league that those mistakes happened instead of a cover up routine to make me disbelieve my own eyes.
  12. i dont have a problem with anything yzerman has done. if i wanted to quibble, i would say trading up for cossa, signing too many defensemen this year, and not taking enough draft chances on smaller skill players in lieu of big defensemen. but those are really small quibbles. its hard to go from the worst team of all time to a solid playoff team without lottery luck. wings are making slow progress, imo. i know their record is similar to last year, and i'm not happy with the goalies this year, but the team isnt getting run out of the rink anymore. baby steps. and im very excited for asp and danileson. i think those are home run picks.
  13. im not against drafting goalies, i'm just against drafting them in round one. 🙂 i liked the augustine pick.
  14. that was a huge win. the kings dominated them last year. kane may not play any defnese, but he's still got that top 1% skill.
  15. washington has had some offensive stinkers in there. watch the arizona state tape. if you can make them one dimensional, you've got a decent chance to control penix. play a lot of zone, or throw johnson on oduze. but to win they need to control the game on the ground and not turn the ball over. washington's dline is not bama, or even ohio state. grind it out, control the clock, use jj's legs for once. be creative but not reckless. and for god's sake, dont muff any more punts.
  16. because he's not making the right passing reads. he's turning the ball over a lot. the pistons roster doesnt suit ausar. you can have one non-shooter on the floor, but multiple non-shooters is offensive death. ausar plus killian or ivey or stewart or duren or wiseman or livers is death. the pistons simply dont have enough nba caliber players to play with ausar. i agree with your overall point about monty not finding decent ways to use ausar, but i think the bigger point is that weaver has put him in an untenable position with his terrible roster construction. but im not as high on ausar as everyone else here seems to be. i am skeptical he will ever be able to shoot at an acceptable nba level. i think his most likely career outcome is matthias thybulle or tony allen rather than draymond greene or dennis rodman.
  17. 84 has a very long history of overrating every prospect his favorite teams have (see tigers, detroit). drafting any nhl player is a crap shoot. drafting goalies in round one has been less successful than drafting any other position. that is all.
  18. 1) i do not "know" that yzerman isnt trading cossa. in fact, i would not be surprised if he was traded if the wings start playing better and get back into contention. if they don't get closer to the wc by the deadline, then i do not think any prospects will be traded this year. seeing cossa traded in the offseason wouldnt surprise me in the slightest. 2) i dont know who is available. but their goaltending has been awful and is costing them a playoff spot this year, imo.
  19. come on, man. you listen to too much valenti. calling out an old boys network and telling jerry jones to **** himself is one thing, hiring a private investogator and calling the integrity if the league - and your multi-billion dollar product - into question is beyond stupid and will never ever ****ing happen. i expect this from mcs when he's high, but you? come on.
  20. several teams have gotten boned. how often does the nfl release a video explaining that the official was actually right? (while in reality the video actually shows the official was wrong, and the league STILL wont just admit it and move on?) whatever the lions are or arent doing behind the scenes is having no discernible effect on how the league treats them publicly. perhaps a different approach is warranted?
  21. semantics. lets both hope he plays really well, regardless of position.
  22. https://dobberprospects.com/2020/05/24/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities-by-position/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com take your goalies in the top 5 or the second/third round.
  23. i am rooting for tampa and new orleans!
