it doesnt really matter, with michigan's schedule they'll need to beat both. if you want tk be REALLY strategic, root for osu because michigan has them at home and it is more likely that if michigan were to lose a game it will come on the road against penn state.

goff was terrible for the rams and i say its pretty unlikely they win the super bowl with him that year. both teams are "winners" in that trade. lions kicked off a rebuild and the rams won a super bowl. goff has been great but the jury is still out on jamo and gibbs/laporta picks they got from the rams.

"ghost" and holl have not sucked so far. i dont know if i'd call maata pretty good, but he's been serviceable.

that was the red wings' most complete victory in a while. as noted, if theyre going to win it will be with depth and that's how theyre winning. strong forward play defensively and collective offense. theyre turning teams over on the forecheck and getting the puck back. they can get the puck out of their own zone much better than in previous years. pittsburgh and ottawa coming up will be good measuring sticks. different teams than new jersey for sure. the other promising sign is the top line. larkin-debrincat-raymond has been a solid first line with debrincat playing really well. how a line with debrincat and raymond holds up against a bigger forechecking team on the road remains to be seen. they might need to break that up with a bigger forward at times. the defense is still a work in progress but gothisbere and holl have been decent so far. mistakes have been from maata, seider, and (of course) chairot. given their age, i expect some injuries and to see lots of edvinsson at some point this year. or to see him traded for a star...

good win. bucs defense is impressive. bucs also missed two touchdowns when mayfield missed an open receiver behind the defense on a big throw. they need branch back AND i wouldnt mind seeing them trade for a decent cb if one can be found. jacobs and harris are good bench players but not starters on championship teams.

afc loss. doesnt matter as much. for example, if the season ended today the niners and eagles both would be seeded above the lions because the lions lost an nfc game and the eagles and niners lost non-conference games.

and? he's missed most of two full seasons. fot whatever reasons, he's way behind where he should be in terms of games played. you can play the contrarian card all day, but its a legit worry that he hasnt been playing and its ok for fans to be a bit nervous when he misses even MORE time, no matter what the given reason is.

dennis franklin and rick leach were a little before my time, although i remember some of leach's games. harbaugh was the best michigan qb i can remember. brady was actually pretty good even if no one remembers because it goes against the myth that he was benched for henson. denard was a special qb but brady hoke was too stupid to play to his strengths. gardner too.

and then the hawks score with 20 seconds left and i lose. makes me hate them even more! it was wings +1.5 and habs -1.5. if anyone cares to share my pain.
