  1. that "game" was....something. pistons starters got worked by the suns starters in all phases. they shot 85% from the field in the 1st quarter. the pistons did not. forget about the comeback, that was the pistons bench against the suns g-league reserves, with marvin and killian showing out against guys who will be playing in des moines next year. but since its our only real basketball to talk about, let's overreact! ausar cant shoot and it will be a problem. he can do everything else, though. and that will be fun to watch. beef stew built a house with all his bricks from 3. still undersized in the paint but still hustlin. solid role player material. speaking of roll...duren and cade are going to be good at it. marvin and killian loomed good at it too. wiseman still sucks. at everything. give me marvin over him any day, at least marvin can play a semblance of offense. wiseman just gets in the way. cade really needs to be consistent with his shooting. he looked in control on the dribble, finished well, but the shot just wasnt there outside of a small stretch against the suns bench. you have to start hitting those shots and you have to be the MAN or else this rebuild is doomed. ivey looked like ivey. made some outside shots. just watching the suns bury three after three while the pistons bricked shot after shot was disheartening.
  2. they must have a ridiculously bad offensive coordinator too! 🙂
  3. even if they gave the unsportsmanlike conduct, it would still have been kc ball. but youre right, minny is paying their bill for all their bull**** luck last year.
  4. i understand your point about williams, but josh reynolds is their best downfield receiver, imo. no knock on laporta, he's been great.
  5. regardless of all that, the lions just put 42 points on one of the better defenses in the nfl. that's impressive. especially for a team with the worst coordinators in the league... 🙂
  6. i said before the season that i will believe the lions are better than seattle (and dallas) when they beat them. they didnt. at home. its a long season and things can change quickly, but as of right now there is no evidence that the lions are better than seattle.
  7. you want the lions to not practice?
  8. its always personal when it comes to the Jug. harbaugh does not forget rickey foggie ruining his perfect season in 1986.
  9. the A team had a couple blips against toronto's bench guys, but overall they carried the play and ended up winning. as they should have. bring on the regular season. time to see if rollong four lines will work for them. one observation from tonight is that raymond definitely looks stronger. not getting pushed around and he's able to keep the puck when people lean on him.
  10. what a horrible draft for us that was.
  11. hirose and mcisaac waived. cholowski waived by the islanders.
  12. i should clarify that i dont see him starting in detroit but will get called up at the first injury. hopefully he forces their hand with chairot and they have to move on from him.
  13. my first lions memory was starting 4-0 and billy sims on the cover of sports illustrated... you'll have to excuse us old fogies if were not going to be convinced about the lions until we see it.
  14. edit: read your post wrong. in sum, i cant see him in detroit this year.
  15. didnt see the toronto game, but the C team almost beat the leafs' A team in toronto. and danielson scored.
  16. bears will win 5 or 6 games. they have a ridiculously easy schedule.
  17. unpopular opinion: joe schmidt had a better career than d*ck butkus.
  18. if the bears win tonight it will insufferable here tomorrow.
  19. its the nfl. people will watch regardless. especially over baseball.
  20. that's a heckuva schedule in what could be a rebuilding year.
