lets remember, the pistons traded bruce brown and luke kennard AND three second round picks to get to draft bey in the first place. so now they've turned kennard, brown, bey, knox, and three second round picks into james wiseman. a failed big man who is about to get PAID if they want to keep him. the league has gone almost completely "position-less" and moved toward athletic wings who can shoot and we're trading all our assets (current and future) for big men who cant hit the broadside of a barn from 2 feet away. who is running this damn team? and you just saved the warriors like $80 million and you didnt get anything else for it? not even a useless second rounder in 2056? what a dumb team. ive rarely seen a team waste assets like this one. the only way this makes any sense is if weaver just wants to REALLY make sure he gets a top 2 pick this year. and if they get wembanyama, then what? ANOTHER big man? so we'll run killian hayes out there with cade (for the two weeks he's healthy) stewart, duren, and victor? or heck, how about victor, stew, duren, bagley and wiseman? joe dumars' wet dream of a lineup. nobody else will get a rebound! super bowl here we come!

can someone explain this trade to me? bey is nothing much. decent role player. but wiseman? WISEMAN? he's bad. he's lazy. he's hurt all the time. he plays a position the pistons have a plethora of players in already, including one of their most promising young players AND ANOTHER project big man they just signed to a big deal last year. speaking of which, bagley was also bad, lazy, and hurt all the time. is there a pattern here? someone please explain how weaver is a genius? maybe JEIII can do it in his usual kiss weaver's ass column?

i'm not a scout. i just read other people's scouting reports. he could be the second coming of barry sanders for all i know. but he sounded like a small running back who busts everything outside who can run away from college defenders but who will struggle in the pros. in fairness, that's MOST college running backs. of the charbonnets and the corums and everyone not named bijan robinson its likely to be them too. we all get draft crushes and convince ourselves this or that guy will be a star based on someone else's scouting. its fun. i do it all the time too. we'll have to see where he falls on draft day. a lot of people are talking about him after the senior bowl.

i added BOTH as qualifiers.

blake corum cant run between the tackles?

3rd down back. theo riddick type. might end up as a slot reciever because he cant block and cant run between the tackles. later round pick. #debbiedowner

if chark wants to come back on a cheap "prove it" deal, then ok. he came here last year to rebuild his value and show everyone he could be productive and healthy. he didnt do either.

its good they got some pickd back cause the rockets own all the nets picks for the next five years.

there's no real need to re-sign either of them. they are a dime a dozen. just to nitpick you even more, lol. 🙂
-
why re-sign all those running backa and then draft one?
-
same ol andre. when they played the terrible spurs he was running rampant. making dunks, yelling and preening around. he scored 21. tonight? 3.

just not enough high end talent. its nice to see seider playing well again.

as noted in the prospects thread, i dont think niederbach needs to be included and i do think lombardi does.
-
the ravens will franchise him.
-
wings ranked 4th in wheeler's prospect series. up from 7th last year. edvinsson kasper cossa berggren mazur wallinder soderblum buchelnikov johannson buium dower nilson niederbach sebrango hanas has the tiers as 1-2, 3-8, 9-15. i think the tiers are about right and the rankings are about right too. although i would drop niederbach and put lombardi in there.

hendon hooker will likely be there in the 5th or 6th round if you want him. he's old, hurt, and wasnt a huge prospect to begin with.

bo horvat signs in new york. 1) shocker! i thought they couldnt negotiate a deal while he was with another club???? 2) $8.5 aav for 8 years. larkin shouldnt get more than that.
