  1. a super bowl trip and back to back afc championship games has answered it already, right?
  2. chariot was signed to provide toughness and he's done that. this team got physically pushed around last year and there has been less of that this year. he still has big issues as a defenseman, but he's served some good. i watched edvinsson tonight. he's very big and very smooth. cant teach that. not sure if that will translate at the nhl level because he still makes a lot of mistakes. young, time will tell.
  3. i didnt see it, was it actually a good penalty call?
  4. michigan is one of the top five or ten most popular brands in college sports. michigan state.....is not.
  5. grand rapids game is on tv here. beats watching the nfc championship game.
  6. the u$c fan will come and have his say about how much michigan sucks. rinse. repeat. lol. in fairness, there is no thread about michigan state football because no one here gives a shit and they have no fans outside the state of michigan.
  7. you question aj hinch but youre all in on al avila? come on 84...
  8. corey joseph isnt a top 3 player in the g league.
  9. just sign a journeyman. you'll get better production if he has to play in a game and he'll likely be better holding the clipboard too. want a qb? take one in rounds one or two.
  10. groom for what? to hold a clipboard? third day guys almost never pan out. if you think a qb in this lot can be a future star, take him at 6. they likely wont be there after that.
  11. losing this game without scoring a goal is the most predictable outcome ever.
  12. 1-0 isles. game over.
  13. buccigross is awful. i hate these non-ken and mick games.
  14. maybe. but 1) the wings wont do that,, and 2) i think a hampus lindholm situation is more likely with a guy like horvat. bottom line is that i hope they dont give up kaspar for him.
  15. i cant wait until they fail on three third downs in a row and you come on here and demand that campbell be fired...
  16. i dont know if trading larkin is in the plans since they spent all that money on role players last offseason. but in the big picture, i can see trading him rather than paying him over $9m aav. he shouldnt get more than barzal did.
  17. nobody is trading for him without a contract in place. you also arent the only team bidding for him.
  18. i trust the current administration's judgment on swedish league prospects. as to your "fun fact," i agree. as i obnoxiously pointed out earlier, teams arent going to want our bad players. they wont be enticed because you throw MORE of them into the deal.
  19. the product will suck, but people will still watch because they have an affinity to watch sports where their favorite college is playing.
  20. as we all know, richardson is a pure upside play and a gamble. but goff isnt going to be here forever, is coming off a good season but has been up and down in the past, and the lions do need to think about qb in the future. i'd be excited if they felt good enough about richardson to draft him. id also understand if they passed given his college passing performance. but when i hear that they sent multiple scouts - including holmes himself - to multiple florida games, i think there's a real chance they are considering drafting him (or levis if he falls).
  21. psssst....richardson at 6....you wont have a shot at him at 18. /ducks
  22. if your core is seider/raymond/kasper and potentially wallinder/edvinsson/hanas, do you WANT to deal for horvat and sign larkin? the thing i fear is that the wings end up in the mushy middle and never have enough top players to compete for titles. that's my bigger fear in trading for horvat. i - like everyone else - dont want to give up the possibility that those prospects turn into our tampa bay-like foundation for a 27 year old who we will be paying big money after his peak. i guess that's why stevie gets paid the big bucks.
  23. college basketball is boring right now. imo, its been boring for a while. but it still has the ncaa tournament that people enjoy. the ratings for games on the major networks are still pretty solid. i'll be interested to see what the elimination of one and done, combined with the expansion of the g league/nba minor leagues will do to the product.
