i'm surprised. i thought baez would get a lot more. as dubious as i am about baez moving forward, that's a good deal for what he was thinking of getting. he's going to be the most polarizing tiger on the team.

if the osu job surprisingly comes open he can always quit and take it. nd is one of the prime jobs in the sport. if he waits too long he could end up stuck at cincinnati, where he would be one or two injuries/bad seasons away from obscurity, and he's about to be increasing his competition level by going to the big 12. strike while the iron is hot. unless he knows day will be leaving. day going pro is always a possibility. there are plenty of stupid pro teams out there (bears on line one).

oh g2. g2 g2 g2.... never underestimate how much money billionaire baseball owners will spend on new fancy toys. correa will probably get 350 from los angeles (one of the two franchises there) or seattle or houston. detroit will pay 200+ for baez or story. but it wont be that bad because the deal will be shorter. if you want baez for 10 years, its going to cost you 250-300 million. but i dont think he goes for that much.
