wallinder either makes the team next year or goes back to sweden/cements himself as an AHL player. he's 23. he'll be 24 when the season starts next year. that's make or break time.
-
okc is a better team than detroit, but their schedule has been even easier.
-
he's not. but why is he here over them? because theyre teh stupidest? i'd rather see wallinder too. the fact that we are seeing mbn, finnie, and asp but NOT wallinder and/or tuomisto tells me something. maybe they think they can handle one rookie making a ton of mistakes (and asp is making a ton of mistakes) but not more than one? more likely is that tuomisto is too slow to be an nhl player and wallinder is still too passive and must get stronger and more aggressive. i do think buium was going to be here until he got hurt.

after giving up 140+ to the heat, the bulls give up 143 to... ...the new orleans pelicans. vucevic was out of the lineup, which is likely the only reason they didnt give up 150.
-
they arent good enough. if they were going to be good enough, they'd be up already. wallinder still has a tiny window to prove himself.
-
the pistons were 22nd in sos coming into tonight's game against the 2-14 indiana pacers. make hay while the schedule is forgiving. build up a cushion.
-
they called up gustaffson instead of wallinder or tuomisto. what do you think that means for them? why didnt they call them up?

thinking about the nfl. remember when the top pick in the draft immediately became the highest paid player in the league? then the league changed the rules. it could happen in baseball too. i dont think it will, but it might. or something akin to that to make it harder to get a 10 year 500 million deal. maybe a cap in years? not sure.

the big concerns for skubal are regression and the upcoming cba. it could alter the terms to make long term big contracts much harder to get. its possible boras knows what is being discussed on the cba front and he actually decides it would be better to let skubal sign now than risk free agency in a new cba world. interesting times, indeed.

he needs that money to pay off the mob.

Week Twelve: New York Giants (2-9) @ Detroit Lions (6-4)
buddha replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
the giants are one of the worst teams in the league. the vikings are bad too. losing at home to both would be a bad sign. this game isnt over yet. -
they'll lose a couple of those west coast games.

well, the last two years were really fun. -
I'm sure Ja will have an equally professional response when asked.

shut up, nerds.

back in first place! is seider a top 10 defenseman in the league?

watching college football when i saw shocking news come on the ticker: kawahi leonard is supposed to play on sunday.

it truly warms my heart to see the bulls give up 143(!) to the heat. at home.

he could easily get paid to go back to msu for another season and then become a free agent.

dont know. winning breeds fans. i do think the derth in quality big ten games and the number of different channels big ten games are spread across (and that espn is not one of them) hurts their ratings a big. undefeated ohio state and 2 loss michigan playing for a shot at the big ten championship game should get pretty good ratings. undefeated ohio state and undefeated indiana in that championship game should also do well.
-
just to follow up on that, what marquee matchups has the big ten had this year in conference? ohio state has played no one. michigan has played usc and that's it. penn state was a flop this year. indiana-oregon? what other big game has there been? NEXT year michigan gets oklahoma, penn state, indiana, oregon, washington, and ohio state. their ratings will be much higher. its also why were going to end up with a super league. ohio state-texas draws 16 million. ohio-state-michigan draws 19 million. michigan-oklahoma draws 9 million. no one gives a **** about purdue or northwestern. theyve become a drag on the conference.

the perils of being on 56 different channels...
