  1. I love how he's playing, that tip was really a beauty. He still has some lapses now and then but he's added much needed skill and IQ to the fourth line. He's skating again at least! It would be really interesting to see this roster with Elmer, Bertuzzi and Vrana healthy and in a groove.
  2. Haven't been able to watch closely but leading after 2 is great to see! Hopefully they keep playing hard and don't shell up.
  3. I will say, Berggren is on a 52 point pace over a full season since being called up and I've thought he's looked like a solid NHLer. I'm quite happy with that myself. I didn't watch the last few games since I was in Philadelphia though so maybe he's looked bad.
  4. Agree with your take. At this point I would even just try Oesterle with Seider. You can't break up Maata / Hronek and Wallman is too freewheeling like how Chiarot is playing right now I think. Chiarot should be the stay at home guy but he has more 5 on 5 shots than Seider does 😕
  5. Thought the Wings looked / played pretty good outside of some lapses. Husso finally faltered a bit. I thought Chiarot looked pretty bad though, I would love to get him away from Seider. Hopefully they can start getting better results against good teams.
  6. I really am not a fan of these reverse retro jerseys, the black just doesn't work for me.
  7. Probably not a popular take here but I disagree. Faceoffs are overrated and Glendening has the worst possession/advanced statistics of the entire Dallas Stars roster and yet somehow has the 4th highest PDO so his overall numbers could get even worse. I would rather lose faceoffs and have a fourth line with Veleno's and Berggren's who can contribute in all zones theoretically. Winning a faceoff is nice but if you can't do anything with it afterwards then it really isn't much of an advantage in my opinion. I really dislike players who's game revolves around being stationary in the defensive zone and hoping the puck hits you, so I fully admit I have always underrated him compared to others. But in general I think having elite faceoff guys doesn't have as much of an effect on games compared to other areas. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. (But still his gum gif is too good to not have it as my pfp)
  8. Bert is back in the lineup tomorrow! I feel like Berggren has been playing well so I'm hopeful he stays in the lineup if possible.
  9. I went to check the game highlights and we were probably in frame of the normal wide shots any time the puck was in that end, you can sort of make out my wife cheering as I put my hand on my head in disbelief as the Kings scored 8 seconds in:
  10. You may have been able to see my annoyed look on camera lol. Was down in the end the camera was facing where the Wings defended twice. Fun but frustrating.
  11. Ah I didn't read that, one of my DND groups plays on Tuesdays now so I missed most of the game.
  12. Apparently Elmer is day to day I didn't see what the deal was, so makes sense for two callups with Luff. I think both guys will be playing tonight.
  13. Smith and Berggren got called up, surprised two people got called up here.
  14. Bertuzzi and Sundqvist were skating this morning
  15. It does feel really odd at this point
  16. "limited offensive upside" I have to admit I'm getting stupid excited for Kasper.
  17. They were probably thinking people forgot about what he did or the fact that the team is doing well might overshadow it. Hockey has always been an old boys club and I 100% believe a large part of the league thinks that Miller was just being a kid and is being unfairly punished for it right now. The only thing that his agent was able to point to about his development was his court mandated community service and organizations he didn't even bother to show up to and engage after initial contacts. Never mind that they never even mention the victim or working to make that situation right. I am pleasantly surprised that the big reaction from most people was that this would not stand and I really really respect the Bruins' player leadership core who stood up for what was right. Neely should be fired. He didn't even check if Miller was eligible to be signed let alone make the right call here.
  18. These two have been such great additions to the lineup. What were the Blues thinking not even offering Perron anything?! Kubalik I understand because he hurts the tank for Chicago.
  19. I know it isn't a huge sample size but I'm really not a fan of Robert Hagg so far
  20. A bit nervous for this month of games. I'll be at the game in Los Angeles, hopefully it is competitive...
  21. Large post time! Haven't thought of this guy in a while, apparently he is looking okay as a defensive defenseman in Finland but man what a bust: This gave Mazur 8 goals in 7 games, I think he's up to 10 goals now: https://denverpioneers.com/news/2022/11/1/du-pioneers-hockey-carter-mazur-named-nchc-october-player-of-the-month In Grand Rapids Beggren is back healthy and he scored. Edvinsson seems to be doing well, 6 points in 6 games. Brattstrom just got sent to Toledo. Wallinder has really developed, he looks comfortable running the power play up top:
  22. I'm really glad the Lions won't be paying Hock. He's solid enough and seems like a good guy but I always felt frustrated that he didn't seem to have more of an impact on the offense.
