  1. I'm very happy to see he's gaining his footing, I still think he can be a solid NHLer Strong play from the 18 year old
  2. Bert seems like the type of player a GM with a little desperation would talk himself into. Plays the game the right way, tough to play against, playoff hockey... I would also lean to him being worth more than you would think but it could just be my homer-ness coming out.
  3. I'm guessing he wouldn't want to do it, but I wouldn't mind resting Perron on this back to back tonight. He hasn't looked as good as he did early on in the season to be honest, getting him some rest might not be a bad idea.
  4. A bI'm a little surprised but not mad. I always forget that Maatta is only 28 years old since he's been in the league for so long. I thought they might figure out Walman before Maatta.
  5. I have to admit Bertuzzi is playing way better now that I thought he would at any point this season. Hopefully someone wants to trade for him! 😆 Nice to squeeze out a win, I know a lot of shots against the Wings aren't high danger but these lopsided shot totals get stressful.
  6. I love that we all had the same thought haha
  7. Larkin is on fire right now, scores another on the power play to open the game against the oilers
  8. booo no vrana tonight
  9. Regarding the waivers point, maybe some team would take Vrana if the Wings retain money but I would be surprised if it happened. It does open up more options for teams rather than just who can afford his cap hit on waivers.
  10. HSJ has largely been an organization mouthpiece so could be some truth to it, though I think when Yzerman came on board that kinda dried up but I don't read her stuff much. Personally I am done speculating because I have no clue at this point haha.
  11. 100% agree, hopefully this all was either purely conditioning or they can partially repair their rift because the Wings are desperate for any sort of scoring. I think I saw that Detroit has the second lowest expected goals of any team which lines up with the eye test.
  12. Sounds like Vrana is getting called up, what a saga
  13. That all makes sense. Seems like the Nucks need new ownership and management.
  14. Jonny Burgers with another goal, I wish the Wings could play the Canucks every game. Nice pass by Veleno after the Wings had a 6-5 on the delayed call. Larkin made some nice plays as the extra skater too he’s had a great game.
  15. The Canucks are down bad as a franchise yikes
  16. He definitely is skilled, I just don’t see him as playing “winning” hockey if that makes sense
  17. I have to say, for as down on Zadina as I am Quinn Hughes does not impress me as a player either.
  18. Wings up 2-0 early in this early game against Vancouver. Berggren just made a nice tip from Chiarot.
  19. Ya that's the vibe they gave me. I'm shocked that Huberdeau looks so bad with the Flames. He certainly is tanking my fantasy teams this season.
  20. Zadina buries it right after I send that last one!! He made a questionable pass to Sundqvist when I thought he should have shot on a two on one, but Sunny gave it back nicely and he buried it into the open net. Hopefully this gets his confidence going.
  21. Been a fairly boring game against the Flames so far, 1-1 after Larkin tied it up
  22. Dying to know what happened with them, the Wings definitely seem to be absolutely done with Vrana. I had a feeling when a few days back a reporter lobbed a softball to Lalonde asking about how well Vrana has been scoring lately and he chose to mention that Vrana also scored 1 goal in an entire month in the AHL. Seemed a bit out of character for Lalonde to be so upfront about a "current" player so alarm bells went off like crazy for me.
  23. https://theathletic.com/4154009/2023/02/06/red-wings-nhl-prospect-pool-rankings-2023/ 1.Edvinsson 2. Kasper 3. Cossa 4. Berggren 5. Mazur 6. Wallinder 7. Soderblom 8. Buchelnikov 9. Johansson 10. Buium 11. McIsaac 12. LDN 13. Niederbach 14. Sebrango 15. Hanas Moved up from 7 in last season's rankings to 4. Makes sense to me, Kasper is a great addition and a lot of other players have made big steps forward. Though I am unsure why he even has McIsaac on the list tbh.
