  1. I was being dramatic. I'd lke to see it torn down, but not all at once.
  2. I heard a long interview with him last night. Again, he sounds a lot like Curtis Granderson and he would be a fan favorite if he succeeded. I am curious to see what happens with him, but I have the same concerns as eveyone else. Can he field any position OK enough to hide him? If he has to be DH, is his bat good enough to carry him? He has a great eye, but I agree that's a skill that will be difficult to bring into the majors against superior pitchers every night.
  3. That's an idea. Americans love playoffs and brackets, so let's add some more rounds!
  4. If what we have is the reality and it just can't be changed, then it's a terrible system and it's explains why not enough people vote. I have spent most of my whole life voting for third party candidates because I never like any of the choices. The only reason I care now is because Trump is so terrible and has to be defeated. I think maybe the MAGAs are right about wanting to tear it down. The only problem is they are supporting the worst possible human to do it.
  5. Everything you are saying is what's wrong with the party and why Trump was able to become President. I don't like that reality. We need something different.
  6. No doubt he wants money. That's his whole life, but if Trump were a killer there would be all kinds of rumors about how he had people killed as a disorganized crime boss. And there really isn't anything out there like that. You are thinking the worst possible scenario because you hate him and believe me I know how easy that is to do!
  7. This sounds like you arguing that the Tigers can never make a big trade or sign a free agent. 😀It just can't happen.
  8. If Harris became the leading candidate, other candidates would be able to jump in and she'd be a lot easier to beat than an incumbent President. I refuse to believe that it just has to be the way it is. That is is the whole problem with the Democrat bureaucracy in a nutshell. Being a President is a really important job. At least find one that people like! That's a good place to start.
  9. You sound like a bureaucrat! Obama came out of nowhere to become President. You don't always have to stick with a ****ty choice who is just there because it's his or her turn. Trump came out of nowhere too and that didn't turn out well, but the point is you don't have to go with cookie cutter choice.
  10. LOL, I don't know what Biden was going to do with the documents, but come on, you know Trump was going to make or had already made money off them. That's his whole life.
  11. He is not trying to make us into North Korea. He is trying to win because he's an immature psychopath who has to win. But yes he is way more dangerous than Biden.
  12. I always thought Biden was a weak candidate. The only reason he won in 2020 was because Trump was a joke and his incompetence was readily evident due to Covid. He is a very unpopular President and the Democrats are making a huge mistake letting him run uncontested.
  13. The weird thing is that it's based on arbitrary top 100 lists. There's really no difference between the 100th and 175th prospect. It's an opinion. And it's not an unbiased one.
  14. To be fair, Trump taking a whole hour to say something stupid is actually pretty good him.
  15. They let pretty much anyone write there: https://www.baseballprospectus.com/author/lee_panas/ from 14 years ago.
  16. Dan Rather once interviwed Saddam Hussein. That was different in that everyone knew Hussein was horrible and he didn't have prominent politicians and large portions of America swooning over him.
  17. The light isn't ever going to turn on.
  18. The first part of the comment was perfect given Greene's obession with transgender. The second part was too easy and immature and playing down to her level too much.
  19. If Ibanez plays like he did last year, he should get the majority of playing time at third base.
  20. We can take any projection with a grain of salt At least PECOTA and the like are unbiased. I use them as baselines. Here is what you can expect to happen if everybody performs to historical norms. It doesn't stop there though. Who do you think will do better or worse in cases where the projection is uncertain. For example, the projections are usually conservative on young players. How many wins can the Tigers add if Keith has a breakout season? How many wins can they add if Flaherty bounces back? It needs to have an unbiased baseline though and I find the projections useful for that.
  21. I haven't seen a lot of kool-aid drinking as far as this season goes. There is optimism about the direction of the team in general.
  22. Until he starts striking batters out, yes.
