    The regime threatened to take away a big contract (which I am on) if DEI language was not removed. We did change the language. The project lead hated to do it, but it was either that or we lose the contract and some might lose their jobs. Unfortunately, they were going to get what they wanted either way, so there was nothing to gain by protesting.

    I have got a whole bunch of international students who may be going through somethig similar soon if they can't get jobs quickly after graduation. They have only been here a short time, but these are hard working, motivated students who could definitely help employers. Many of them are from war torn countries, some are on asylum, so I have a lot of very anxious students this semester.

    I agree that's agood reason to change it if the players don't like it. However, it brings me back to what Harris said about the deep fences in the outfield. He believed that it was a potential advantage to the Tigers if they built their team with that in mind which they seem to be doing to some extent. Perhaps, they decided that there was no way to turn the dirt strip into an advantage.

    The article was not all that clear, but he called him an elite defender. He appeared to say it in response to the question about outfield injuries. I don't believe that he considers him to be an elite center fielder.
