I liked Pete Franklin too. He was one of the first of those kind of sports talk show hosts. It was funny when he did it. Now, that kind of thing has gotten really old and common place.

I had access to Boston, Detroit, New York, Cleveland, Philadelphia,St. Louis (really far away, but a strong signal), Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincinnati. On really good nights, I could get Atlanta and Chicago. I remember really getting excited when I got Minnesota once, but that was an oddity.

No, they aren't going to DFA him. If anything they will play him too much. I am not "super concerned", but my preference is that they give more at bats to players who migjht be able to help when they do have a good team.

Everybody on the roster should be getting at bats over Cabrera. The idea this year is to find out who can contribute in the future. Cabrera can't. Guys like Baddoo, Carpenter and Vierling might.

I think they were serious. They are just typical fans that watch a little baseball during the season and then go on to the next sport. Only a small percentage of fans follow the Tigers the way we do here.

Several years ago, Bank of America called me and offered to add extra protection to my money for $150. I told them they were supposed to be doing that already why the hell would I put money in your bank if I thought it wasn't reasonably safe. I wonder how many people fell for that con?
