The game is not slower because of gambling. The suggestion was that owners might not push as hard for faster paced games if they found it wasn't beneficial for gambling. There is no doubt that gamblers have become the big new target audience. It is possible that gamblers don't care about the pace of the game though.

Police reform is not a radical idea like defunding the police. I think there are many centered Democrats who would like to make reforms to law enforcement. I don't think any reasonable person wants to actually defund the police which is what conservatives imply when mocking liberals.

Why are MAGAs so giddy about Elon Musk potentially buying Twitter? He's not a MAGA supporter or some champion of "free speech". If he took over Twitter, he would make decisions which mazimized his profits. That's all it is.

So, can we assume that he sprained it in his last start? When you sprain something, you usually know it right away and I don't think he could continue pitching.

I have had sprains before so I know what they are. You can sometimes get a sprain from getting hit, but impact wasn't the best word to use. I should hasve said "acute". Sprains are usually acute as opposed to something chronic. So, a sprain might cause some damage that is not directly related to pitching and it might heal. A strain sounds like something that is caused by the repetitive motion of pitching. Either way, it's not good news.

Pineda will step in for Mize and Alexander deservedly stays in the rotation. The problem of course is long-term. "Sprain" sounds more like an impact injury rather than one caused by repetitive movement, but who knows. I always fear the worst with pitcher injuries.

I would not bank on improvement from Baddoo either, but remember he is still very raw. He never played AA or AAA, missed most of 2019 because of TJ surgery and no minor leaguers played in 2020. He could still grow a lot as a player.

Biden is having typical elderly cognitive slow down, but I see no signs of Dementia. Trump actually was given a dementia test, so we can assume that doctors thought he might be showing signs. I think his mental health problems and general unfitness are something other than dementia though. I do not know anyone in office who specifically has dementia, but there are several who lack either the intelligence or sanity or both to be fit for office. Since the only other defeated president still alive is Jimmy Carter, I will assume that he is your favorite defeated president.

Also pictured in the photo was little known Ron Cash who batted .400 in 39 AB for the Tigers as a rookie. You can bet my 10-year old self got excited about his future.
