  1. Three reviews in like 30 seconds. All confirmed obviously. All still taking like two or three minutes of real time. These last few minutes take long enough as is, they need to find a way to make these reviews go faster.
  2. Reed wanted a winner and signs with the Lions. Davis wanted a bag and signs with the Patriots. I am happy with that trade.
  3. Vildor to the Bucs. Fair or not, he'll be remembered for one play.
  4. It was. I hadn’t seen that. If we can handled Kelly Stafford though we can probably handle Whitney Risner.
  5. I expect Manu to make the roster. They can’t justify not dressing a player for two consecutive years. But I believe he is more of a tackle project than a guard project. I imagine he will be the second reserve tackle behind Skipper. At guard, it may well be Mahagony. I would like to see them pickup a serviceable 6th lineman though. That’s what they did in 2023, when they didn’t trust Vaitai to stay healthy, and it’s how Glasgow first came here. Dalton Risner and Will Hernandez are both older guys who had bad injuries in 2024 and are a little older, probably attractive candidates for a one-year deal.
  6. The Texans signed Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal. I was floored to learn he was still in the league.
  7. I’m not as convinced. I think the Lions are the clear top dog right now. The Vikings were exposed to end the season, and will be starting an effectively rookie QB. KOC is undeniably a good coach, but top to bottom the Lions have a better roster. Jordan Love looked like a pumpkin to end the season, but the Packers will be dangerous. Chicago is Chicago, and they won’t worry me until they can demonstrate an ounce of reality to their yearly hype train. The Lions have won the division twice in a row now, went 6-0 in the division last year, and it feels like their crown to lose going into 2025.
  8. Quickly turning into one of the most overrated players in the league. Never in a million years would I give him that kind of money.
  9. The style of play demanded by the Lions defense (and thus the corners they covet) is naturally going to demand more sticky coverage, which is naturally going to bring more penalties for DPI and Defensive Holding. It doesn’t really concern me. And no, y’all can’t quote me on this the first time I’m pissed at one of them for getting called for DPI.
  10. Over how many free oil changes he can get!
  11. I think most of the guys who are signed today go for close to their asking price. Later on is where negotiations really come into play, and that's where Holmes seems to excel.
  12. I'm guessing they tried to re-work the deal before releasing him. He was the best of a lot of bad options at the trade deadline, and brought a great personality to the team, but he was conspicuously absent when it mattered most, both against Buffalo and Washington. I do expect them to address the position twice more this offseason, once with a free agent and once in the first two rounds of the draft. They need to lock up Hutchinson first though. Crosby and Garrett are just driving his price up right now.
  13. 8th time’s the charm. This is a Moseley type deal. Unlikely to mean anything.
  14. Yes! During a past weight loss, I had a Planet Fitness membership, and it worked for a few months, but there was no accountability or personal drive to maintain. Doing the classes has been a game changer. I’ve made a community of people from widely different athletic backgrounds, but I enjoy going, and it’s been the difference.
  15. I’m just seeing this weeks later, but when I lived in Ann Arbor I once had a crazy neighbor call code enforcement on me because I had two cardboard boxes sitting next to my trash can. Three days before trash collection day. I saw the code enforcement guy taping a sign to my door so I went out to talk to him and made a new friend. We talked about the Lions for 10 minutes and then he said he hated his job but it paid well. Fair enough. 🤷‍♂️ Now I live in the middle of nowhere in Monroe County and no one bothers me. Bliss.
  16. I’ve battled weight my whole life, lots of yo-yoing. It was psychological hell in the latter part of 2024, where I was stuck in this vicious mental cycle where I wanted so badly to lose weight but couldn’t get past the mental block of thinking it was just too much and I was incapable. Finally, October 18, 2024, I started calorie counting. I can’t tell you why that date, I just took the step. I didn’t tell anyone, not even my girlfriend of two years, for a month. I joined a local CrossFit gym in December, and it absolutely Kicked. My. Ass. But I kept going back. I was 312.4 on 10/18. As of this morning I’m 260.6. Down 51.8 pounds. I’m not sure my end goal, but I do think saying I lost 100 pounds would be cool. I’ve told a few people. Thought I would share here. 🙂
  17. This is part of it too. Everything will sound like a lot in relation to our reference, which is past contracts under different cap structures.
  18. Feels like a lot for a player that struggles to get home on a roster where’s he’s behind both Anzalone and Campbell, but what do I know.
  19. Not knowing the difference between ‘who’ and ‘whom’ is the biggest crime in this tweet.
  20. Didn’t Brad already kind of shoot down the idea of bringing in a big name at edge during his Combine interviews or presser?
  21. I'd be cool with it. It doesn't really seem their style, between DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds, and Tim Patrick, they seem to prefer a cheaper, short-term, lesser known, possibly injury prone option for WR3 as opposed to the Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, OBJ types, of which I would put Adams. But I don't see a problem with it if they can afford it.
  22. I think Levi does on a one-year deal. He’s earned it after last year. He might test the market, but I have a hard time seeing anyone giving him a long-term deal. Less sure on Iffy. I’m sure they’ll make him a short-term offer too, but he might have more luck on the market and/or want to leave anyway. It’s a crowded defensive backfield as it is, between Kerby and Branch. Iffy is pigeon holed into a slot corner spot unless one of them gets hurt.
  23. Does Ohio State need a cornerback coach?
