I do think there is a chance Jamo can play himself into being worth a 1st this year. He needs to distance himself more from off-the-field nonsense and part of that just comes with time.

"You know what's better than overpaying for two receivers??"

I watched the 4th quarter and this was my takeaway. There was no flow whatsoever. I’m not basketball savvy enough to really know what should or shouldn’t have been called, but a lot of it felt soft, and the whining anytime an official had the gall to make a call against them drove me crazy. Along with a guy like Brunson just playing for the foul. I don’t get it.

First game I’ve gotten to watch of the season. Feels like they’ve gotten a lot of pitches to hit but haven’t been able to do much with them. (Tune in next time for more riveting analysis from MichiganCardinal)

It would be silly for them to trade him after the draft and go into the season relying on a rookie to be a key contributor on offense. They should compete for a Super Bowl this year, and that move would make them worse not better. I'd rather take a 3rd round pick and trade him in March 2026 than a 2nd round pick and trade him in May 2025.

If they select a WR in the first two rounds, I expect Jamo to be traded next year, after they pickup his 5th year option. Give the rookie a year to develop as the WR3 or WR4while riding out Jamo’s rookie deal. Jamo should net a 2nd round pick. Maybe even a late 1.

Embarrassing 40 minutes from an embarrassing team to cap an embarrassing season.

We may suck, but at least we don’t have CTE.

Tomorrow may be a game where you do whatever necessary for a regulation win. The path to the playoffs where you surrender a point to Montreal is relying on a ton of help. If Thursday night, you're sitting at 83 points and the Habs are sitting at 85, with a game in hand you have a shot, however slim. If you're at 82 (or less) and they're at 86 (or more), the fat lady will be singing, if she's not already. To be abundantly clear, the path to the playoffs right now isn't pretty at all, and they have no one but themselves to blame for it. SO many games this year they should have won and shot themselves in the foot, or gave up a goal with 60 seconds or less remaining in a period. It feels like even if they stumbled into the playoffs, they would be lucky to steal one against the Caps, which is not how I felt last year with the Rangers. Such a frustrating team.

Hard to see it any other way. He’s got at least one more season to figure it out. But there’s no excuse anymore, and I’m not even sure what’s good enough. Backing into an eight-seed next year and getting swept wouldn’t inspire a vote of confidence either. In a league where half the teams make the postseason, a decade long drought is inexcusable.

Such a fitting way to blow it too with a mind-blowing turnover in 3-on-3.

Leave it to the Wings to pitch 59:32 of shoutout hockey and then head to OT.

I don't think he's likely to trade down. Not that he won't, but looking at the current 53-man projected roster, there aren't seven obvious holes. Let alone 8, 9, or 10 with added capital. Rather than draft nine guys and have to release both of our 7th rounders, hoping they make it to the practice squad, just because of space, I'd prefer to draft five, have them all make the roster, and have the best player on Brad's board (when he moves up) make a significant impact on day one.

The penalty kill is incompetent.

Things that bring a smile to your face

It's counterintuitive, but I've found I can still have some fast food (Wendy's and Taco Bell in particular), as long as I'm still tracking. Those are actually easier than the mom and pop places that don't tell you calories because then I'm just guessing (and probably poorly). I do Home Chef for most dinners though, which in the same way tells me how many calories I'm taking in. -
Reed wanted a winner and signs with the Lions. Davis wanted a bag and signs with the Patriots. I am happy with that trade.

Vildor to the Bucs. Fair or not, he'll be remembered for one play.

It was. I hadn’t seen that. If we can handled Kelly Stafford though we can probably handle Whitney Risner.

I expect Manu to make the roster. They can’t justify not dressing a player for two consecutive years. But I believe he is more of a tackle project than a guard project. I imagine he will be the second reserve tackle behind Skipper. At guard, it may well be Mahagony. I would like to see them pickup a serviceable 6th lineman though. That’s what they did in 2023, when they didn’t trust Vaitai to stay healthy, and it’s how Glasgow first came here. Dalton Risner and Will Hernandez are both older guys who had bad injuries in 2024 and are a little older, probably attractive candidates for a one-year deal.

The Texans signed Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal. I was floored to learn he was still in the league.
-
I’m not as convinced. I think the Lions are the clear top dog right now. The Vikings were exposed to end the season, and will be starting an effectively rookie QB. KOC is undeniably a good coach, but top to bottom the Lions have a better roster. Jordan Love looked like a pumpkin to end the season, but the Packers will be dangerous. Chicago is Chicago, and they won’t worry me until they can demonstrate an ounce of reality to their yearly hype train. The Lions have won the division twice in a row now, went 6-0 in the division last year, and it feels like their crown to lose going into 2025.

Quickly turning into one of the most overrated players in the league. Never in a million years would I give him that kind of money.
