  1. I'm more bitter about the Red Sox and Penguins, but the Yankees, Leafs, and Cowboys are are the most obnoxious fan bases in sports. The Cowboys are too pathetic to celebrate their demise right now though. It's like planning a pizza party for after the game against the winless team in Little League, when they're coached by the accountant dad who's trying his hardest but hasn't touched a baseball in 30 years. Fun fact, those three obnoxious fan bases have combined for less championships than the Red Wings in the last 25 years, but you wouldn't know it by talking to them!
  2. Two best days of the year are the day the Yankees get eliminated and the day the Maple Leafs get eliminated.
  3. I think a lot of Goff's being undervalued is due to the modern media age of Red Zone, TikTok, and even just SportsCenter Top 10. Mahomes, Allen, and Lamar are apt to make the flashy play, the play you see a million times from Monday to Thursday. Goff is apt to make the adjustment pre-play that gives him a wide open ASB to put a game on ice, or masterfully work through his progressions and hit his third option in stride. He's so good at what he does, but what he does is not flashy. Those who know ball know just how elite Goff is. But the average NFL consumer does not know ball as well as they think they know ball.
  4. Line actually started at -7.5 on this and has already moved to -10. Usually that would mean it ends up close, because it’s the NFL, but I don’t know. The Bengals have been outscored 76-13 the last two weeks. The Lions have outscored their opponents 72-40. These teams feel on complete different ends of the football spectrum right now.
  5. Yeah but he’s not mobile so he’s not good, don’t you watch ESPN?
  6. Personally I never had a doubt I don’t know what you all were all worked up about. 😅
  7. A win feels unlikely. Hope I’m wrong.
  8. So a 2-1 loss in 10, right?
  9. By my count, plate umpire has missed four pitches and the first three went against the Tigers. Sour grapes. Now make it matter.
  10. Hill already looked like he had taken a significant step back this year. His off-the-field problems though may lead to him trying to have a career that lasts much longer than it should, like Adrian Peterson.

  12. Hutch may record an NFL record for sacks if the Cincinnati OL doesn't improve.
  13. Ticket secured! Only $259 for lower corner row 5... The modern Detroit Lions mind cannot comprehend.
  14. Their offensive line is horrific. Not sure if Zac Taylor survives this season if they can't figure something out.
  15. Only a six hour drive? Might go get me a single ticket to Cincy.
  16. A name I would consider signing if he is in football shape is Emmanuel Moseley. If we are just looking for a bridge for a couple weeks, and we don’t need him to be healthy all season, he may be a suitable option who knows the system. Hand to say he’d be better than sliding Amik and Branch over and putting in Maddox though.
  17. Big news that Reed won’t need surgery. Not a torn hamstring then.
  18. These teams have gone in two polar opposite directions since week one. Obviously that’s not to say anything is a given. Lots of time until Thanksgiving and anything can happen in 60 minutes of football. But who would have expected to be alone in 1st in week 4 after watching that game at Lambeau??
  19. After all that **** that Parsons was talking, the oh-so-great Green Bay defense gave up 40 points. Parsons was barely a factor. Three tackles, only one solo, and 1 “sack” that might get changed in a postgame stat review. It came late and Dak at least got back to the line of scrimmage. Might have gained a half yard.
  20. Wow. It’s funny how a second can matter. How many times does the clock stop a second early or late and no one bats an eye? A tie is a win for the Lions. They’re now alone in 1st, and if they beat Dallas at home in December, they will have two common opponent victories over Green Bay, including Cleveland.
  21. I don’t know how you drop 7 and leave him that open.
  22. Good on the officials not calling that. I cannot stand when the WR just initiates to draw a 40-yard penalty.
  23. Win or lose, Green Bay doesn’t look like the big bad wolf they seemed in week one.
  24. It’s definitely not as cut and dry as the college rules (where you always go on defense) or the old NFL rules (where you always take the ball). I can see it both ways.
