  1. Tampa Bay with just 20 explosive plays (through four games). Detroit is averaging almost double the number of explosive plays per game. Baker will have to take risks to keep up with Detroit’s offense. (Miami is way out ahead of the pack.)
  2. Sure Tampa Bay is 3-1 but they’ve beaten a terrible team in Chicago, two mediocre teams in Minnesota and NO, and lost to the Iggles. Hats off to them, they haven’t beaten themselves. But they also haven’t beaten anybody good.
  3. To them, I say, this staff really loves them some David Montgomery. He had more receiving targets against Carolina (six) than any WR.
  4. WR usage versus Carolina: Marvin Jones – 35 snaps, two targets, two receptions Kalif Raymond – 29 snaps, three targets, three receptions Jameson Williams – 28 snaps, three targets, two receptions Josh Reynolds – 28 snaps, five targets, four receptions Antoine Green – 11 snaps, no targets, no receptions Dylan Drummond – 5 snaps, no targets, no receptions What is with the hyperventilating on Jameson Williams now?
  5. I’m beginning to think Jordan Love is not a good QB.
  6. Also Brock Purdy. Literally every team could have picked him multiple times. And he is now the front runner for NFL MVP.
  7. Imagine Stafford finally starting a playoff game in Detroit. As the visiting QB.
  8. Some teams just don't match up well with other teams. Look at Baltimore getting punked again by Kenny Pickett-sburgh. Detroit doesn't match up well with Seattle. Who can cover Metcalf? And if you double him, who can cover Lockett? They have good players at every skill position. But it was encouraging yesterday to see the DL maintain their gaps. Campbell got on them about this after the Seattle game, when they kept letting Geno Smith slip away. And if we end up playing Seattle again in the playoffs, I'll be surprised if we turn the ball over three times again.
  9. I’m sure you are right that SF didn’t draw it up tonight on the sideline. Would they have run it if it failed for Detroit earlier? I’m guessing not.
  10. SF just scored on the exact same double reverse flea flicker that Detroit did earlier today, right down to the Iowa TE.
  11. That double flea flicker… such a joke of a play. If they had done three more tosses LaPorta would have been way more open.
  12. Salt in the wound. And Carolina has to come back out for the second half.
  13. Was that Jaymo throwing a key block on the 42 yard TD run?
  14. Any given Thursday.
  15. This is the NFL. Everyone is getting paid. Other players haven’t had the same impact against the Giants that Witherspoon had last night. He got that dawg in him. Hats off.
  16. I dislike the product of Thursday night football, but I love watching the Lions in prime time. I’m usually focused on something else in that 4:30 window I feel like Thursday football should be a treat, maybe not just for Thanksgiving, but not every week.
  17. I like Brian Branch but that Devon Witherspoon is a player.
  18. I want to see two things from Jaymo. A receiving TD and a rushing TD.
  19. Maybe if Millen had played the role of Chris Spielman, as a liaison between coaching staff, front office, and ownership, he would have been more successful. He was in over his head managing a scouting staff, contracts, draft board, etc I think identifying that role, and selecting Spielman for it, has been Sheila’s greatest decision as majority owner. Her second greatest decision has been to allow Holmes and Campbell to surround themselves with experienced staff. She really opened up the checkbook to ensure that her first-time GM and HC (don’t bring up MCDC’s interim role) were not overwhelmed by their jobs. Spielman seems to be the guy who makes sure nobody is preening for the owner and who makes sure ownership understands what the team needs. If WCF was smart enough and committed enough, he might have had success putting Millen in a similar role. I don’t hate Millen. He was just overwhelmed by that job that was way too big for any one person. Sheila figured it out.
  20. IIRC he hit a guy in the hands in the end zone. Dropped pass and they settle for a FG. There’s a four point swing.
  21. Denver defense literally allowed Fields to have one of the greatest QB performances imaginable for 55 minutes then when it counted he fumbled, committed an intentional grounding penalty, and threw a game losing INT. Classic. 😂
  22. LOL Chicago! Edit: LMAO Chicago!!!
  23. And Travis Kelce is suddenly the pitchman for almost every product known to man, including… well. Am I the only one who thinks this is a match made by their PR consultants?
  24. Here's what I'm saying. I saw him look upset once. This clearly means he will end up like Charles Rogers or Antonio Brown. Just give it time to play out.
