  1. 3/5 of OL on the bottom six list. Also two DL, with Hutch not far behind, posting the worst PFF score of his career. The staff did not have this team ready to play. This was the case early last season also, but they hadn’t come out and laid an egg like this since Baltimore the year before. I think it is going to be up to Goff, Decker, and Sewell to fix the offense. Morton is going to have to be reminded of what this team does well on offense. I am less concerned about the defense. They did not look great, and there was some nonsense about dropping the ends into coverage that should get fixed, but they started to tighten up over the course of the game.
  2. PFF numbers: Hutch 56.8 (worst of career) Sewell 54.5 (worst of career) These are the team’s two best players. Both on HOF trajectory. These guys did not forget how to play football. This coaching staff just did not have them ready to play.
  3. “Rookie right guard Tate Ratledge had a rough debut for the Lions. Unfortunately, Ratledge had to open his career on the road against one of the new best pass-rushing units in the NFL. He had the worst Pro Football Focus grade of all the Lions pass blockers at 36.2. The next-best lineman was left guard Christian Mahogany, at 50.8.” https://lionswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2025/09/07/studs-and-duds-lions-packers-week-1/86033189007
  4. Seriously. He is the only one who did anything out there today beside Laporta.
  5. Maybe they could have, you know, tried to throw him the ball.
  6. OL got its collective head handed to it today. We thought it might happen and it did. But the offense started slow last season too. Anyway, they better get right next week against Chicago.
  7. We are seeing the early season lack of coordination on OL that we feared.
  8. GB got the ball on the first drive at the 43. Second drive on the 48 (after the phantom false start/re-punt). Third drive, touchback, 35 yard line. Last year, Detroit had just about the best special teams in the league. Did Detroit forget you can take a touchback? Did they forget how to pin a team deep in their zone? Hopefully they will not give up so much field position this half. And hopefully they will stop playing on their heels.
  9. Yes. Take the ball out of halftime. A good drive makes this a game.
  10. Special teams has given up almost 100 yards in field position already.
  11. Maybe we can not gift GB field position now
  12. The real issue has been special teams.
  13. Insane end to Steelers-Jets. You don’t often see a walk-off DB hit that dislodges the ball on a fourth-down pass that would have moved the chains and put the offense near GW-FG range. Welcome to PIT, Jalen Ramsey.
  14. Sorry to break it to you, but he has looked good today. Threw a dart on a slant to Friermuth into a very tight window on 3rd and 10, then had a beautiful back shoulder ball that nearly missed being a TD but that set them up for one. The Jets look good too. AG has cranked up the ground game and is doing a good job of covering for Fields. They'll win a lot of games playing like this.
  15. I’m looking for Jaymo to celebrate his new contract. 4 receptions, 110 yards, and one TD of 50+.
  16. Minnesota had the tenth best injury luck last season. Detroit was 25th (last, of course, on the defensive side of the ball, where they had the sixth-most games lost to injury of the past 25 years). Still Detroit beat Minnesota twice and won 15 games. Trade their injury luck and Minnesota would have won seven games and Detroit would have won the Super Bowl. Edit: https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/2024-agl-49ers-get-smacked-down-by-injuries
