  1. 1 yard rushing lol. Michigan has the worst offense in America for a major school. It's really amazing how bad this offense is.
  2. He's so stupid. I find it comical and scary. Comical because he has such a rudimentary knowledge of even the most basic things, yet pretends to be such an expert. Scary, because this guy will possibly lead our country again and make life altering decisions for people. Yeah, we know, trees get water through their roots system. We knew that in 2nd grade.
  3. I'm not sure who watched it, but Kamala gave one hell of a speech on abortion rights and reproductive freedom tonight in Texas. Worth watching if you have the time to sit through it.
  4. I have great respect for Marty Baron (and every journalist at the Boston Globe) for the work they did spotlighting the Catholic Church sexual abuse scandal. It won't matter much one way or the other that the Washington Post is not endorsing, but I agree with Mr. Baron here.
  5. I know that comparing 2022 data to this election is a perfect 1-1 comparison. But when you look at exit polling data from 2022 here in Michigan, white women actually voted majority Democrat and supported Gretchen Whitmer over her opponent. Granted, Tudor Dixon was a much weaker, less well funded opponent than Trump. The economy and inflation though were in worse shape in 2022 than it is now. https://abcnews.go.com/Elections/michigan-exit-polls-2022-us-governor-election-results-analysis
  6. Again, we have another quasi-credible person spouting the whole there is a "big story" or "damaging story" that is about to drop on Trump.
  7. Yeah, that's something to be worried about. Young men, who are largely single and less educated than their women peers, seem to be drifting towards Trump.
  8. Is this real or some BS story?
  9. The Nevada numbers being provided by Jon Rolston don't look good.
  10. Parts of Macomb and Downriver communities, where there are lots of non-college educated white voters, may continue to drift rightward though. Democrats can't become the party of only college educated people, we'll never win that way. We need a big tent with working class and non-college educated voters, folks with only some college or a HS degree. So there is a chance as Macomb and Downriver communities drift rightward that it negates or overcomes our advantage in places like Oakland and Kent.
  11. 2-3 weeks ago seems like a lifetime in politics now. If this were more recent data I might be able to feel a little bit better about it. I try not to be so pessimistic, but it's hard not to be. I do genuinely wonder if polls are undercounting Harris support this time around and have overcorrected to account for their mistakes from 2016 and 2020. I just don't know that I feel 100% confident in that idea. Well being up is certainly better than being down in a poll, using an older poll like this doesn't make me feel much confidence. 😞
  12. No, but the campaign is still putting in the effort into the state. In 2016 I don't believe that either Clinton or Kaine visited the state. though I could be wrong about Kaine not visiting it.
  13. Vance was just in Wisconsin last week and attended the Packers/Texans game.
  14. Are we putting more stock into this poll and polling in general or early voting returns or both? What does the early voting data suggest from these PA counties that were highlighted in the poll?
  15. As a HUGE pro wrestling fan, WWE, AEW, etc. I love seeing a prominent pro wrestler like Mick Foley come out and do this.
  16. Is she avoiding the questions? I didn't really watch it.
  17. It seems too good to be true that Halperin has a story that could end his campaign. We can't be that lucky, can we?
  18. Such a powerful new ad out from the Harris campaign on abortion.
  19. This is may be a dumb request, but from here to election day, would everyone be willing to change their avatar to this image as a show of solidarity? It would be really cool to see this in posts all across MTS, even when we're not in the political forum.
  20. I think your analysis is right here. We won't turn into Nazi Germany because he won't have a willing military to do so. If he had a willing and able military he would no doubt turn it against anyone he deemed unworthy or a threat to him. However, we will become an even more illiberal democracy than we already are, similar to what Orban has built in Hungary. We will have state propaganda similar to Orban via Fox News, Twitter, Breitbart, Tick Tok, and other outlets that he either has control over now or soon will. As well, the usual tenants of our illiberal democracy like the electoral college, the Senate, gerrymandering, the supreme power of the Supreme Court, and voter suppression laws and actions will continue to erode our democracy and democratic institutions. We will be an eroding democracy like Orban has done in Hungary if Trump gets 4 years of unchecked power. If you're terrified of that like I am please, I implore you, to signup to volunteer with the Democratic Party GOTV operation. Visit www.michigandems.com/volunteer to sign up. You can door knock, make calls, and more to help get out the vote. Don't let democracy slip away!
  21. Calvin Johnson out campaigning for Harris in Detroit!!!!!!!
  22. Where did you see this?
  23. What black rappers support Trump besides a bi-polar, delusional rapper with brain health issues in Kanye West?
