  1. Terrion Fair out there playing corner.
  2. So much for that new and improved secondary. No a man within a mile of Godwin.
  3. Bad playcalling on that drive. Where is Montgomery? Did he die and get carted off?
  4. Ben Johnson musta read T&P's posts because he's using St. Brown a lot more this week.
  5. ****ing A baby! Jaemo is having a break out season.
  6. What the **** kinda call was that???
  7. Davenport hasn't played a full season in his entire career. He played in 4 games last year and in 3 different seasons he played 11 games and missed 5. True, you don't win it all in September, but if you're not on the field, you're not generating pressure. Davenport has a history of never being on the field.
  8. Marcus Davenport is now doubtful for Sunday's game. I get Holmes liking to take chances on injured players because of the contractual value they provide but come on, they gotta be on the field at some point. Availability is a skill. Two of our biggest free agent acquisitions aren't going to be on the field now if Reader is also going to be out. I really wanted Danielle Hunter and was bummed when we weren't even after the guy. Now our guy meant to be the pass rusher opposite Hutch is already hurt.
  9. It is absolutely not Duggan's if he runs. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has outperformed every single Democrat when she's run statewide in 2010, 2018, and 2022. In 2010 when she ran for SOS she lost, but outperformed both the Gubernatorial ticket or Virg Bernero and Brenda Lawrence, as well as the AG candidate in Mark Totton. She out performed Gretchen Whitmer and Garlin Gilchirst both times she ran in 2018 and 2022. Secretary of State Benson will be a formidable candidate and has a shot at starting out as the top candidate.
  10. RIP to the Lions great Joe Schmidt.
  11. See, I wouldn't say it is a success unless we squeak into the playoffs. Which of course could very well happen. While I've enjoyed this last month or so of baseball, it didn't have to be this way. We could have solidly been in a playoff spot where the Royals or Twins are at now if our GM and/or owner had gone out and made the necessary moves this offseason and they did not. Call me a whiner, a complainer, a curmudgeon or whatever but this season is a failure because we should have been a playoff team with the pitching staff we had and are not having to claw our way into one if we make it. We had a playoff caliber starting rotation and our General Manager and/or Owner squandered it away. Did they not have a gauge on where they thought this team would be at this season? Did they not have a gauge on the level of talent in their starting rotation and the damage they could do to other teams? We had and continue to have a rotation with a starter who has been in the Cy Young chase in Tarik Skubal. Until the trade deadline, we had two other pitches in Flaherty and Olson who were as good as most anyone else's #2 and #3 starters. Harris and Ilitch squandered it away by either refusing to add a bat/s in the offseason or potentially by the owner meddling and not allowing Harris to go out and spend the money necessary to acquire a a middle of the order bat. Harris trotted out a lineup with an average OPS so low that it would make Paul Bako, Kimera Bartee, Randy Smith, and the 97 Tigers blush. Randy Smith in-fact put out lineups with higher overall OPS, OBP, and runs scored in the 97, 98, and 99 seasons. Am I suggesting we bring Smith back, of course not, he was a dreadful GM. Am I suggesting Scott Harris and Chris Ilitch should be held accountable for this season's failures when it comes to the lineup, yes, they should be. We've seen the names rehashed here a thousand times, JD Martinez, Matt Chapman, passing on Langford in the draft, etc. It seems pointless to rehash this argument now. Maybe I should just shut up and enjoy the winning while we're doing it, but it is frustrating to know that we could be firmly in control of our own destiny had we just made one or two moves with this lineup during the offseason.
  12. I wanted to ask this two-part question. Do you consider this season a success where it stands right now and would you consider it a success if we end up missing the playoffs after all is said and done?
  13. Speaking of Project 2025, George W. Bush, **** Cheney, and Alberto Gonzalez were the original ones who attempted to replace federal officials with lackies for the Bush Administration when they fired multiple District Attorneys and attempted to replace every single one of them. I believe Gonzalez and Harriet Miers attempted to try and fire every single US District Attorney they didn't like or who didn't agree with their viewpoint of government and legal theory. Getting an endorsement by the guy who improperly and unethically fired multiple US District Attorneys, an attempted to fire more, should help Kamala out with the whole she never fires anyone argument that Trump made.
  14. Musk is really a repugnant human being. Elmo suggesting he wants to impregnate Taylor Swift and be her daddy is really gross and disgusting. This is a new low even for Elmo.
  15. This is ****ing awesome. JD Vance showcases that he doesn't understand irony at all.
  16. Pacioretty signed with Toronto today. Glad we didn't waste a roster spot on it.
  17. Can you imagine if Barack Obama sat there for 7 minutes and did nothing how the right would have reacted. Now, I don't think Bush needed to run out of that classroom and scare the kids or school staff. But if Obama had sat their like that, the right would have lost its mind. If Biden had sat their like that they'd call him an alzheimer's patient, incapable of doing the job.
  18. I still think he and Trump are at least tied. But history and Trump's Presidency has allowed him to wash over his legacy of barbarism, death, and destruction in Iraq. History and time have turned a war criminal into a painter.
  19. So much for biased moderators.
  20. The media, because of their bothsidesism and not wanting to seem biased, will not hammer Trump the way they did Biden after his bad performance. Trump was a sweaty, ranting, raving, narcissistic, unhinged man tonight, but the media will go lighter on him then they did Biden two months ago.
  21. **** yeaaaaah Taylor Swift. Thank you for speaking out and doing the right thing. I don't even listen to her music as it's not my cup of tea, but I understand what a cultural icon she is to tens-of-millions of people in this country or more. Her endorsement is meaningful and significant.
  22. Any day now we'll here about what a great plan he has. Any day!
  23. She is Biden? Kamala Biden?
