  1. That whole picture taking afterwards was cocky and dumb. You don't have to be exactly like Barry Sanders after you make a big play. But the way he would just drop the ball, head to the sidelines, and focus on the next play was refreshing to see. I don't mind a little celebrating, but that picture taking was nonsense.
  2. What Power 5 teams, that had great success in a given season, did so by changing QBs like this constantly. There are examples of situations where a Tua comes in for an injured QB and lights the game up out of nowhere. But when has this constant QB change ever really worked in high level, Power 5 programs?
  3. Forget Donavan Edwards, just keep handing it off to Mullins and make him the starting back.
  4. Their offense looks dog poop so far. Not to be TP, but they keep running Edwards up the middle and not running any outside plays or sweeps. They need to mix it up with him and not try to make him Blake Corum 2.0.
  5. I know, Texas. It's going to be a fun watch. But I hate starting off with the Fresno States of the world.
  6. Poor throw and poor decision there by Warren. You either don't throw that ball or you need to put that on a rope.
  7. I wish Michigan would start the season off with a more competitive opponent each year. Seeing these cupcake games has gotten old. I'd love to see a real opponent to start the season.
  8. That's targeting. He hit him right with the crown of his helmet.
  9. So Davis Warren is starting today. Will this he a true QB split or will Warren pickup most of the snaps?
  10. Hell today, John Stewart does some of the most hard hitting interviews on TV or the internet.
  11. What happened to the unity ticket?
  12. I feel bad for Kevin Bacon having to go grocery shopping on a windy day. You think inflation is bad for the rest of us regular folks, the cost of groceries must be astronomical for him when it's windy.
  13. I missed this last week and am just now seeing this. The tragic limousine crash that changed the lives of both Vladdy and Sergei forever shaped this town and fundamentally made hockey different in Detroit. RIP Sergei Mnatsakanov.
  14. What an awful, tragic story to read. For the Gaudreau family to lose two young men like that, especially the day before they celebrate their daughter/sisters wedding is just so awful. RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
  15. Are we really only rolling with 4 WRs on our active 53 man roster? Looking through other depth charts around the league (not that I looked at every single teams) I didn't see anyone else with only 4 active WRs on their roster. Seems like they have to call up at least one more WR to the active roster. If someone were to go down in a game it seems like we'd be in trouble with the only 3 WRs out there.
  16. There are still so many great movies made today that aren't in the superhero, action or jump scare genres. A24 Studios makes tremendous movies that are true to life and span the boundaries of different genres. After Sun, Ex Machina, First Cow, Florida Project, Iron Claw, Ladybird, The Lighthouse, The Lobster, Moonlight, Midsommer, Minari, Uncut Gems, The Whale, The Witch, etc. are some of the many fantastic movies A24 has put out over the past decade plus.
  17. Well we certainly have no shortage of semi-baked X Receivers now. I actually like the Tim Patrick signing and think there might be something there if he can actually manage to stay healthy and learn the playbook. That's a BIG IF for him given the last two seasons he's barely played a regular season snap. But I think signing Patrick presents a low risk, medium reward and I'm happy to have him on the practice squad. I think Allen Robinson is completely cooked. The guy hasn't even gone over 400 yards and 35 receptions in three seasons now. He's fine as a practice squad signing, but at 31 years old, I expect nothing out of him.
  18. What would you say you do here?
  19. Office Space is probably the best movie of 1999 for me. I love Richard Riehle as Tom Smykowski so much in that move. I'd say Being John Malkovich, Big Daddy, Man on the Moon, and The Green Mile round out the top 5 of 1999 for me.
  20. An incredibly dumb and dishonest person.
  21. In a dream world Ohio is still the purple swing state it once was. They just haven't seen the rapid growth in their suburban areas (Cleveland/Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus) with college educated voters that places like Atlanta and Phoenix have been seeing. I think for the foreseeable future Ohio will be stuck in that gap of 5-7% away from Democrats being able to flip it.
  22. Tom Bonier has a lot of good data points on his Twitter account.
  23. If voter registration over the past month is any indicator of enthusiasm and electoral success, it all seems to be on the Democrats side. It seems to be women, women of color, young people, and young women of color really driving the registration boom. I highly doubt these people are registering to vote for Trump and the GOP. Their electorate is only getting older, though not persay whiter given the Hispanic vote they've pealed off. Can they make up the difference in new voter registration with enthusiasm or turnout of their own, sure, but adding way more new voters on the Democratic side certainly makes that task harder.
