  1. Elmo now says he has fixed the problem! the guy is a genius! There will be no more "state owned media" Twitter accounts, after authoritarians told him no Tesla sales if that continues
  2. Elmo the Destroyer of Worlds
  3. they can claw back some $$$ if they choose https://www.spotrac.com/news/financial-ramifications-for-the-5-suspended-nfl-players-1857/
  4. WTF. never under-estimate people's stupidity. Cephus and Moore and Toney probably just ended their NFL careers.
  5. I remember complaints about the turf, but it sounds like they were actually understating how bad it was luckily I think no major injuries 320 rushing yards allowed - yikes
  6. reminds me of the Jerry Tarkanian line: “The NCAA was so mad at Kentucky they gave Cleveland State two more years of probation.”
  7. target Baltimore at 22 and Miami at 51 - both have a small supply of picks (true for Miami in 2024 as well)
  8. certainly possible they end up with best defensive prospect at 6 (Carter) and best offensive prospect at 18 (Robinson), just by standing still
  9. TN legislature's response to 6 dead:
  10. Cody S has a long article on Tiger catchers (framing, one knee vs two, lot more) today in Athletic. Really good piece. So far in 2023, his strike rate is 50.7 percent, and he has noticeably improved atop the strike zone. So far in 2023, Haase’s strike rates are up just like Rogers. He has a strike rate of 53.2 percent. His framing ranks in the league’s 90th percentile.
  11. the PE firm that owns Dominion is in business to make $. they did just that. now comes Smartmatic suit against Fox. Maybe this time they settle before getting humiliated further during discovery.
  12. one of the most embarrassing regular season losses in NFL history; Mayfield got 2 hours of practice with the Rams, and then led a pair of 4th quarter TD drives including one starting from the 2-yard line with 1:35 to go.
  13. this guy is down on MM Myles Murphy should be drafted in Round 2 Traits and measurables matter. I get it. They're often more important than production, particularly in the first round. And Murphy is nearly 6-feet-5 and 268 pounds with arms a shade under 34 inches. He tested well at his pro day. Freaky, amazingly good? Not exactly. Even if I could be convinced Murphy is a first-round caliber athlete with first-round size, his productivity in college drastically falls short of conventional Round 1 standards. After the light appeared to turn on late in 2021, it never seemed to be re-lit. In 2022, Murphy was actually less efficient as a pass-rusher generating pressure than he was the previous season (9.5% vs. 12.6%). He's athletic for his size, but not a ridiculous specimen flying/bending around the corner and will have to learn to master his hand work at the next level, always a scary proposition for pass-rushing prospects. He belongs in the second round, where the expectations are lower and he's more likely to assume a lower volume role early in his pro career.
  14. Brugler has Torrence (G); Johnston (WR); Gibbs (RB) and Forbes (CB) to start Round 2 - all seem to be great value there
  15. Brugler full mock: Gonzalez, Kancey, Washington, Campbell, Zavala (OG), Wilson (WR), Incoom (ED) (CMU), Clark (DT (Costal Carolina), Ojuku (OT (Boise) Kancey over Breese makes little sense to me.
  16. one Hinch brain fart away from taking 3 of 5 series to start the season
  17. In Al’s defense, having both Mayer and Neto in the same system would be just awful
  18. Neto, the guy the nerds wanted but Avila went with Jung, called up to the majors.
