The quality of his at bats. I know I'm nit picking, but with his amazing feel for contact, he does make some easy outs early in the count.

Teams usually like ther prospects to have at least 1,500 plate appearances before moving up to the majors. McGonigle has about 750 right now. A full year in AAA will probably put him around 1,200.

After seeing McGonigle for three games, I think he needs another full year until he's ready. Sign him next year like Basallo.

The Tigers have some interesting decisions to make, and before the rule 5 draft in December. A few might not get tendered.

Keith was 50/50 as a position player or pitcher when he was drafted. He wanted to play a position.

Reports I've read is that he has good enough feet and actions for SS, but not enough arm. Longenhagen thinks he will be an excellent 2b. Rainer looks like he has all the goods to be an excellent SS. Rainer really has a hose.

Recently, Eric Longenhagen kind of sheepishly compared McGonigle to Rogers Hornsby. He, Clark and Briceno are still 20 years old. That's fun.

I don't think so. He has enough injured starters right now. If they go starter, they need healthy arms.

Do you have Copp's highlights? I didn't see him play last year. He should be a checking line center. Nothing wrong with that.
