What's sad is that none of the Right wing politicians or pundits give a flying **** about Charlie Kirk or his kids or Tyler Robinson. It's all about how they can own the libs or blame their target group of the day. Yesterday, it was all out civil war and let's arm ourselves. Today, it's the college indoctrination, mental health and praying for the wayward souls. The sheeple eat it up.

Not sure what your neighbor being African American has to do with anything. It doesn't give the impression you think it does. Am I remembering correctly, did Charlie Kirk call for the Epstein files to be released a few months ago?

I was most shocked to hear he was 31. Hate is definitely aging. They're probably rounding up every brown or LGBTQ person within 100 miles looking for a way to find them guilty.

Week One: Detroit Lions (0-0) @ Green Bay Packers (0-0)
Kacie replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
The offense will only go as far as the offensive line will take them. If Goff doesn't have time to throw, he will not look like a star and the receivers won't either. If they can't establish the run because Goff can't complete passes or gets sacked, Gibbs and Montgomery will not look like stars. The conservative approach and lack of creativity was disappointing, as was the inability to make adjustments. -
I guess where my frustration lies is that it seems that Yzerman doesn't see value in "just" making the playoffs. It seems he feels they have to be Cup contenders and that missing the playoffs isn't a big deal because they aren't contenders anyway. Even a first round sweep is better than missing the playoffs to me. Thinking back, the Wings first made the playoffs in 85-86 and it took 11 years to win the Cup. If we're still a couple of years away from making the playoffs and another 10+ after that to win it all, I'll be too damn old to enjoy it!

I guess I'm in the minority. It's not like I don't think he deserves the jersey retirement, but I wasn't bothered by the fact it wasn't. So much good, but also the not so good things... many nights where he was invisible, laying on the ice like he was shot, the contract issues, the pedophilia. Perhaps the Tigers and Lions success has something to do with it, but I haven't been this disinterested in a Red Wings season in decades. I also feel like the jersey retirement is just to bring up the good old days to distract us from the playoff drought.

Biden was elected because Trump, the Republicans and Russians didn't plan for the Covid influenced mail in/early voting.
-
Because they couldn't cheat in 2020 due to Covid, it wasn't the candidate necessarily. They stuck with Biden as long as they could until his debate debacle. I'm as pessimistic as anyone, but so far, this has a different feel. It hasn't gone away, and seems to be growing. The media, so far, isn't falling for the distractions. There are a handful of Republicans not letting it go. Will it take Trump down? Probably not, and it'll probably be the Dem establishment who lets it go because Clinton or some Hollywood donor is on the list. The other hope is that the walls closing in will stress him out enough for nature to take it's course.

I disagree. The grab em by the pussy video was everywhere. Everyone saw it. The video of him wanting to date Ivanka, him going into the dressing rooms of the Miss Teen USA. They KNOW it. But the MAGAts that I know say things like "God will judge him, it isn't up to me" But they had no issue judging Clinton, Obama or Biden. Even by the off chance they didn't know in 2016, they did in 2024. Deflecting and blaming others and playing the Jesus card allows them to freely hate without the guilt.

It isn't that they don't know, it's that they don't care. They, Trump, Fox News, whoever, have convinced them that a Mexican "illegal" picking strawberries is worse than Trump sexually molesting adolescent girls. There will be Trump crossed out in crayon with Biden written in on the Epstein files and the rubes will believe it. I was watching a Netflix doc on the Oklahoma City bombing and it was chilling to sort of see the beginning of this **** show. Of course it was originally blamed on Muslim terrorists.

The act never changes, no matter what the horror. He's simply dead inside. The rallies on Saturday gave at least a tiny glimmer of hope. Shocked that there were 5 separate rallies within like 30 minutes of where I live, very solid red areas. The energy and enthusiasm were encouraging and amazingly high numbers of people. Attended my first Pride as well a supporter of the community since it was going on just before the rally. Just a great day all around.

What's especially infuriating, is the child has been diagnosed with having fluid on the brain, and will likely be born, if he survives, with severe disabilities. The same mother****ers who claim to be "pro life" just voted to cut all the services this little boy will need to have any chance at life, Medicaid, SNAP, etc. Plus, the dead Mom's family will probably be billed hundreds of thousands of dollars for "medical care" for forcing their dead daughter to be an incubator. Hate is too kind of a word for these people.

I can say with 100% certainty that he has some sort form of dementia based solely on the fact the MAGAts accused Biden of having it. Everything they accuse the Democrats of doing is a self own.

There's also that little election interference thing.

Isn't there anything in between contender and not making the playoffs? Or giving up ASL or ND and first rounder for old, useless defenseman with a big contract? The rebuild is a process, and making the playoffs is a step in the process. Losing in the first round is not for nothing. It's a learning experience that can't be replicated by anything else. It's good for the players, the fans and the organization. It took the Wings 10 years to get a Cup AFTER they made the playoffs for the first time.

Same with Trans. Gays were the bogeyman, and then oops, half of them were going on Grinder or then found out they had gay kids and relatives. Same thing will happen. Ditto with the "illegals". It was the Irish, the Italians, the Asians, Arabic/Muslim, now it's the Mexicans. If they can't "other" and incite hate, their back of tricks is empty. Obviously effective because we're losing our democracy, but DEI and woke and something something.

Spoken like an old white guy. The people who wanted everyone to have an equal shot based on their qualifications are the bad guys. It's called propaganda and you fell for it.

Feels like the Ottawa home and home a few years ago and the ending feels like it will be the same, too

I disagree. The Dems having been doing this "let's have a conversation" thing for how long? The notion that there's all these sweet innocent country folk who just didn't know better is bull****. Even poor "Ryleigh" or whatever from Baldwin. She basically wanted free **** for herself but didn't want those black or brown people to have it. Chances are she married a MAGAt and that's what changed her vote from 2020. She was also sexually assaulted as a teen and still voted for a sexual assaulter. But sure, let's present facts to these dolts. I mean, why don't we sit down and have a nice chat with those who were gassing and burning other humans? I mean, some compassion is in order. If y'all wanna buy the bull**** about it being about inflation or the lab leak or Biden's age, have at it. I'm sticking with the mocking, shaming and watching the face eating the traitors who knew exactly what they were voting for. When there's nothing left but bones and the leopard burping, they may start to reconsider their vote.

Guess how your daughter's asthma treatment was developed and funded. I'll wait. If you had no one else in your life that cared that you were struggling, that speaks volumes.
-
Didn't you choose to leave here, but lied about it and then came crawling back?
-
I feel like the "Trump voter Federal Worker who got laid off and regrets vote" is this years undecided voter at the diner.
-
This is delicious. I could not love it more. Just the pick me up I needed. I'll definitely have to send it to my MAGAt family members.

FYI, he can be covered under both before he's 26. With Medicaid as the primary and your insurance as secondary or vice versa. There are things covered under Medicaid that aren't under traditional insurance. Going forward, who knows.
