  1. The problem with watching this offensive disaster: -The veterans they have on hand to guide the young players look disinterested or unable to change their approach. -Tork has not shown yet that he give us some hope for the future. Vets doing nothing and the young players doing nothing does not give the fanbase any reason to hope that things will turn around in the next few years.
  2. 3 sliders for schoop...easy k.
  3. Not sure what you get out playing Grossman at this point. I guess the other options are just as bad. But he has no power at all and doesn't even walk.
  4. They will attempt to blame everything on injuries. The pitching was decimated...the lineup really wasn't.
  5. Heyman: erod dealing with personal marital issue
  6. The pandemic killed player development on a huge scale. That was right when we were supposed to be seeing the fruits of our tanking. It's great.
  7. Chris Ilitch making big deals off the field:
  8. Jacob Barnes dfa, Derek Hill optioned to Toledo. Hutchison and Alexander called up. Hutch will start tomorrow.
  9. White Sox have some power...that plays everywhere.
  10. The pitching is decent but not this good....crappy defense a little regression and this gets uglier.
  11. Benny Hill music.
  12. The Tigers have 5 innings to score a few runs...With the kind of resilience they've shown this year I'm sure a comeback is happening.
  13. MLB has a bereavement and paternity leave...and I would bet you get paid for both.
  14. Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn't have imagined that Willi and Harold Castro would be setting the tone in year 5 of our rebuild.
  15. Additionally, at the moment of truth(getting a hitter's pitch), they are not capable of barreling the ball. Harold Castro has the highest barrel rate at 7.8%. That comes in at 44 in mlb. Candelario is at 6.7% which is not terrible. The rest are at 5.2% or less....which puts you at about 150th in mlb or worse.
  16. The dead ball could explain a bad offense(bottom 5) in the context of this season. But an offense averaging 2.75 runs/game(historically bad) indicates something else is happening. A couple of vets(Schoop/Grossman) are likely out of their prime and showing it. Candy seems to be in-between. He had a horrible start but his stats weren't normalizing to the last few years. And he is 28 so is he part of a contending team? The catchers are bad hitters and Tork is a rookie trying to adjust.
  17. I’m not criticizing hinch. He doesn’t have options within the organization to change half the lineup. He has to trust his process and hope things turn.
  18. He looked like a guy who doesn’t have any answers. I don’t really blame him. But they have another 100 games to play so he has to get something out of it.
  19. Kody Clemens is 0-17 in the majors. The spark plug.
  20. Grossman will be off the team by July 1st. He has no trade value with this production. And he is not part of the plans for next year. Time to start clearing the decks of useless veterans.
