If the rest of the season is about testing young players, it's also about disposing of vets who won't be here long term. Clear the freaking decks for whatever young players deserve the opportunity.

Barnhart has a .258 slugging...4 XBH in 144 Plate appearances. Whatever he gives them behind the plate isn't worth it.

The offense has no power in general...no slugging. So they need like 3 singles to score a run lol. And they don't do anything against decent teams.

I applaud their successes in pitching development. I’m not even cynical about it. But the attrition rate is so high on pitchers that the guy you like today will be hurt next week. Hitters don’t get hurt as much…if they had more mid level hitting prospects, this org would be in much better shape.
