  1. This doesn't make much sense, when Greene was "sitting there", he picked him.
  2. People look at his matchstick build and just assume he's going to be outmuscled in the NBA, but the dude can play. He can do a lot of valuable things in today's game. He's not going to be wrestling for position in the paint...
  3. 1. Keith 2. Campos 3. Pacheco 4. Santana 5. Orsorio 6. Sequera 7. DIngler
  4. Not useful.
  5. With prospects, of course, tools are important, but often the overriding factor in progressing to the bigs is the ability to make adjustments, to make corrections when a weakness is exposed, and fact is, you don't know who that is going to be ahead of time. Some have that tenaciousness and aptitude and many don't. Some players with meager ability will make it because they have that ability, and many tooled up prospects will fail because they don't.
  6. I don't think so, they are saying Ivey and Sharpe have higher ceilings, and the Pistons should take the highest ceiling player, granting that Murray has the higher floor.
  7. It wasn't at all talent, he was a moody, immature, unfocused, uncoachable personality who lived hard.
  8. Darko had the talent to justify his draft position, but he was a knucklehead; stubborn, immature, uncoachable, and lived a very dissipative lifestyle. Is there any reason to assume Sharpe has similar character flaws?
  9. Well, the first season off TJ is usually a bumpy road and they should be cautious with him. The second year is when they generally return to full health.
  10. No, he had reduced velo initially, after being shut down post draft. He regained his velo his second year, until TJ.
  11. Disagree with a couple of things: 1. Wings aren't desperate for a top center, they need everything, prospectwise. 2. In no draft should you draft for need, take the highest graded players, and the more bullets you have the better. 3. Cooley and Wright are not the only two promising centers in the draft. These are 17 and 18 yo and the grades between these two and others are not excessive. The grades will change a lot over the next few years.
  12. Noooo, there's no great differential at the top. They'll get a good player at 8.
  13. Yes, the only thing really going on is that the Tigers have gotten off to a poor start for the second year in a row. Is this someone's fault? Not really, it's life. Shit happens. Like Sparky said, the first 40 games are a crapshoot, and you only hope to be around .500 till everything shakes out.
  14. The beginning of his second year in pro ball.
  15. What are you talking about? Goff has above average arm strength and can make every throw. He may be inconsistent at times, and he's not Stafford, but arm strength is not the issue.
  16. Nope, he's capable of hitting for average. Nothing like Rogers, swingwise.
  17. I'd be afraid too, if nobody's getting open and you don't have anyone who can win 50/50 balls.
  18. Yes, if he's healthy he can stretch the defense, but you need more than one egg in the basket.
  19. Why draft one if there isn't one worth drafting?
  20. People act like Goff has some decrepit noodle, his arm strength and accuracy are above average.
  21. Sure, that's one whose always injured and signed for one year.
  22. They desperately needed someone who can stretch the defense, it opens up everything, doesn't matter who your quarterback is.
  23. Linebacker isn't that great a need, the majority of the time they're in a nickel or dime. Believe it or not, they like their current backers.
