  1. At first I thought he might be binge watching Stranger Things...but he should've been done with that ages ago
  2. No Flores? That's a bit of a shock
  3. Eichel did not score 50 in a season...his high is 36. Larkin's is 32... Eichel has more consistency in his favor...and he's scored more PPG. But Larkin is viewed as being better defensively and he's not a "locker room cancer". They both have had neck issues I would expect a healthy return for Larkin and/or Bert...but...I'm not sure I'd want to bank on either one as a cornerstone of a rebuild.
  4. At this point...all you can do is hope the man's OK.
  5. Pronman's final mock had Slav at 1, Jiricek at 2, Cooley at 3, Wright at 4, Gauthier at 5 and Kasper to us at 8....he does indeed say NJ is rumored to have some interest in Kasper. IIRC...there was a lot of talk that we would be on McTavish or Kent Johnson at 6 last year, but they were gone before that. C with top 6 potential are really valued these days.
  6. Haase is now OPS' ing above .700....it's a miracle!!
  7. Saw a rumor online that July 13 would be an important date for Larkin's negotiations. My gut reaction is they're going to trade him.
  8. Down in Lakeland, Sequera has 13 HR's ...and asub .700 ops thanks largely to a .260 OBP. He's only 19...hopefully, he'll develop some discipline
  9. Kumar had a non-rotator cuff/ labrum shoulder operation (Per Boras) in September. Be there for us in the 2nd...later?
  10. I would love to see them draft Jung...sounds like an Ian Kinsler, Jeff Kent type of 2B
  11. Horrible AB by Grossman after the Harold 2B-e...stood there taking called strikes like a house by the side of the road. DFA him and bring back Daz. Park him in right and see...finally...what you have one way or the other
  12. Do we have to re-sign Bagley? I'd rather not. Not sure if we should focus on putting together a max offer for a guy like Bridges (no to Ayton) or if we should take on a bad contract or two for picks and hope that we can draft a 3 and D wing and guard depth. We'd kick the cap space can down the road a bit and we'd also have a better understanding of how that pieces we have fit together if we follow tht course
  13. Al would trade Skubal for Bat Boy
  14. Using the Beatles as a construct...Al Avila is Ringo
  15. I want to somehow involve a defenseman from Frolunda
  16. Duren and Sharpe was my swing for the fences draft...Duren and Ivey will do...if Icey's shot continues to develop
  17. Great athlete...but I'm concerned that we've now spent 2 lottery picks on guards with questionable shots in the past 3 years
  18. Surprising...but if Chet and Jabari go next, it will have no impact on the Pistons
  19. Railriders sounds vaguely pornographic
  20. I'm more sold on Murray or Mathurin than Ivey. There's a certain amount of positional flexibility with them...with his wingspan, Murray could potentially give you minutes at 3,4, or 5. Mathurin could play off Cade as a guard or a wing. Ivey seems locked into being a guard and his shot is a bit more questionable than the other two. Be nice to take Hayward and 13 off of Charlotte's hands...be in a position to draft a rim protector like Williams from Duke or frontcourt help like Socha or Griffin. Although Koloko at 36 might be the way to go for a interior defender.
  21. I hope Weaver doesn't use the cap space to give us some variation of the "Blake Griffin"....a move or moves that saps resources and makes you just good enough to not be awful.
  22. Stupid auto correct!!! I clearly meant the army!
