I think if you view a player as 1st round prospect...you draft him in the 1st round. I didn't have a problem with picking Cossa...wouldn't have had a problem with picking Wallstedt. Would not be in favor of trading him at this point unless the offer is really really good

Goalies can take forever to develop...particularly big ones. Jimmy Howard spent several seasons in the minors before making it in Detroit. I think it's way to early to think about pulling the plug on Cossa

Waaay back when Urban was coaching my alma mater...BGSU...he was rumored to be a serious candidate for the MSU gig. In the end, they didn't want to roll the dice on a guy with two years in the MAC as his sole head coaching experience, so he baled on us for Utah. When you look at his record...winning huge in three distinctly different regions of the country..he has to be considered one fo the all time great coaches. Who else can make that claim? But..someone with his baggage is exactly hat MSU does NOT need right now. If you want a former BGSU coach...look at Dave Clawson down at Wake Forest. He's basically on a lifetime deal there so he might not be interested, but he's smart, disciplined and recruits extremely well. Another name to consider who might be easier to poach is Colorado OC Sean Lewis. Did well as a HC in the MAC and that Colorado offense looks good

BGSU alum here...please run the score up on us this weekend. Our HC is Scot Loeffler..a former UM assistant under Lloyd Carr. He's entering his 5th year here and has yet to post a winning record...he runs Lloyd's offense from 2000 with a less talented group. I've been hoping he'll get canned since 2021...you guys dropping 70 on us (likely won't happen given the Harbaugh family ties to BG) might expedite that process. The guy to watch on our team is CB Davon Ferguson. Not because he's talented...he has a short fuse and is prone to outbursts on the field. He somehow managed to earn an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at season standing on the sidelines in street clothes. I predict he does at least one really stupid thing Saturday night
