SY has the ammo to make a swing for the fences offer for an established younger star from outside the org or near the top of this years draft. No one is trading the rights to Bedard...but maybe Fantilli or Will Smith?
System graduated Seider, Bergrren (sort of) Soderblom and Raymond...guys like Mazur, Wallinder, Kasper and Edvinsson are now waiting in the wings along with Lombardi, Hanas..etc...
System seems a lot healthier than it was when Yzerman took over
I could live with just about any scenario...Gonzalez at 6 and Robinson or the best OL available at 18...I would be OK with Wilson or Myles Murphy at 6 and the best CB at 18. I could see trading back and drafting at 9 instead (don't want to move out of the top 10).
The only thing I could NOT abide by is drafting a QB at 6...especially Levis or Richardson
So...if Carter is off the board for teams picking at the top of the draft...does this make it more likely tht Lions go corner at 6? One less DL at the top
IIRC...The AHL has a streaming service that allows you to buy full access/full access to "your" team or single games only. If they can do it...the NHL should be able to
Cossa nd Lethemon continue to backstop a red hot Toledo team. Cossa turned away 55 of 57 shots this weekend and Lethemon turned in a shutout. Toledo has won 8 straight
I know none of those details...I had it for a month or so...got rid of it because I wasn't watching as much as I thought I would. But with the Wings in the playoff hunt...I'll probably revisit it.
Bally just sent me a "please come back" email. They'll take $5 off a month...since there's no long term commitment, I think I'm back in. It's not like I'm fronting them for a year while they're literally going bankrupt
I've been a fan of pro wrestling since I was a kid (don't judge me). In the pre internet days, WFAN in New York had an hour of wrestling news on at like 2AM Sundays. It was the only source of wrestling news out there that I knew of. I would often tune in on my way home form the bars/girlfriend's house. We were in a collective tizzy when the rumor that Ric Flair was in Toronto for Wrestlemania in 1990...was he leaving WCW for the WWF?
Good times....
