My maternal grandmother was a knitting and crocheting queen. My two sister and I had ponchos in multiple colors and patterns, and there were blankets galore in those late 60’s- 70’s popular colors- brown, orange, burgundy, cream, that Pukey green, yellow. We never got those variations of pretty blue color ponchos. My cousins got those. I think we were told they got the blue colors and we got the other is because they had blue eyes and we all had brown eyes. ….. so, “ don’t it make my brown eyes blue”. (Crystal Gayle) 🫤

Trump will declare martial law , my guess is next Saturday, following his military parade countering the “No King” demonstrations. those demonstrations will be infiltrated by actors whose purpose will be to agitate and provoke responses, which will become the justification for a heavy-handed, armed and violent government presence. This will be a murderous summer.

This discussion, imo, is moot. The fix is in. Done deal. The trial will be for show. Does anyone really doubt this?

It pains me to say this, but the worst concert I ever saw was Eric Clapton at the old Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City. It was during the “I shot the sherif” era. What is Clapton’s claim to fame? His guitar playing. Unfortunately he was either drunk and or higher than a kite. So while the guitar was around his neck, I think maybe two or three times during the first song and a half his fingers touched the strings on the guitar. It was summer, a hot day, and we had all sat through an opening band that while they weren’t awful, everyone was waiting for the main act to come on Eric. needless to say, when Clapton walked off the stage after the second song, pandemonium was all around us. People down on the field in front of the stage, took garbage cans and threw them through the speakers. The rest of us were hoping not to get killed that night. Me and three others I went there with found our way to a diner, because all the roads were closed off because cops were everywhere trying to get control. I have to say we had a lot more fun at the diner being stuck there for almost 2 hours than we had during the whole concert. I’ll have to think some of what my favorite concert was. Off the top of my head I wanna say one where I saw Bonnie Raitt with Jeff Healy at an outdoor concert in Jersey also….. in a very rural setting. She was fantastic as usual. So was he. oh! I just remembered another favorite of mine. It was Elton John at Madison Square Garden. That man puts on a show. Lol fun is all hell lots of singing along lots of costume changes, strobe lights and colorful things everywhere you looked. It was a good time.

It’s not even a week yet, and I seem to have just about finished both seasons. so much for trying to make it last. The show really hit all the right buttons for me, short enough episodes, and consistently funny. I really like all the characters in it.

You know, I’ll probably be dead in a small number of years (& lately it’s feeling imminent ), but I really feel like I can’t just shrug this one off, mostly because I have in my family kids under 20. And 3 are females, whose very future is now looking dangerous. A percentage of the population will not care if they actually die…. & it seems that it will depend where they choose to live. I guess they shouldn’t travel anywhere. Look, I’m rambling, but I’m honestly afraid for them. And, I’m worried for our aging population (I am for sure in this group), because it feels like the rest of you are waiting for us to shut up and just ****ing die already.

How are we even joking about this? while I realize that Trump says something unhinged multiple times per day, this one is jumping the shark. This is so very weird. And this is the president of the United States tweeting this out. What the hell? What is anybody gonna call him on any of this?

And I would venture a guess that probably 80% of Americans have never even heard of this.

Nah, I think we all knew that his 5/19 response wasn’t how he felt. Today’s is.

I was just given the recommendation of “Bookie” on Max, so I watched episode 1 last night. I liked that it’s only a half hour, and it definitely made me laugh, so I’ll be watching more, especially when I’m needing a stress breaker.

Once I heard Trump use the phrase “people are saying” regarding those convictions, I knew that the pardons will be coming. Come on. How is this not absolutely known behavior > verbiage > outcome…. He telegraphs what’s going to happen. There will be no discussion with Whitmer. He will just do it.

I will say this: every time I think this man can’t get more despicable …. he does. There evidently isn’t a low point that he can’t achieve. I suppose that’s notable. I just can’t believe that people who are currently in the military are looking at this man and not feeling like there’s something that they need to do.
