  1. A constitutional amendment
  2. someone I know tried to play the "the fetus is it's own body" argument and I didn't want to wade into it but my question is where then is the line from one body to the other? Nature/Bioilogy/Evolution/God made the fetus dependent upon the female's body. Women don't ley eggs. Until birth women have autonomy. "That's the way God wanted it" which should sound familiar to the Christian Taliban.
  3. I can't tell if this is serious or not
  4. can't do that because they're the breadwinner or something. It was probably the woman's fault anyway. Erections and Ejaculations don't happen by themselves.
  5. the goal is an authoritarian patriarchal theocracy rooted in a specific form of Christianity.
  6. When they were riding their bikes I was getting anxiety, especially after seeing Winning Time and Jack McKinney's accident.
  7. This list can change by the week but as of right now this is it: The Weight Low Spark of High Heeled Boys Althea Bell Bottom Blues Black Hole Sun Times Like These Cinnamon Girl The Chain No Quarter While my Guitar Gently Weeps
  8. I wonder if the couple that "owned" that house are part of his surveillance team or do they own the house and Gus just pays them?
  9. This is 4 years old but still relevant. Very enlightening.
  10. scorched earth.
  11. It would lead to a seismic shift in our political spectrum. Could be painful and confusing for a few years but this could be the final thing needed for the young to vote. let them talk about banning interracial marriage and gay marriage.
  12. I know it's naive to never say never but I can't imagine that going over well with most people. I think same sex marriage has more broad appeal than abortion rights. But maybe not as intense. The dems need to go scorthed earth 1996 style to portray the GOP as what they are. Quit playing nice. There's nuance to the abortion debate even though I don't think there should be. But there's nothing nuanced about same sex marriage anymore.
  13. Anybody playing moviedle? They show a movie in 1 second. You have to guess. Increments 1 second each guess. easier than I thought it would be. I find it's harder on the phone rather than a monitor because of the screen size. Apologies if anyone already mentioned this. https://www.moviedle.app/
  14. Anyone dumb enough to listen to him… well…. Fuck em. Sorry. Not sorry.
  15. Ties in to what I did earlier. All hyperbole aside I know most pro lifers don’t think these things through. They just say they are pro life because they don’t think casual abortion is good. They don’t fully grasp the ramifications.
  16. Same with period tracking apps. Big data has that. “So we notice you didn’t have your period for 3 months then went to this doctor that you never saw before… what’s up with that?”
  17. but fits in logically with their position. ANY destruction of an embryo is wrong since it's a "person".
  18. I can't wait to find out it was one of the R justices or people who did it then see all the inevitable back tracking from Cruz, Hume, Hannity, Huckabee, Graham, Mitch, etc. Perhaps it's strategic that such immense pressure will cause a justice to switch then the GOP can claim once again to be victims to a leak and they need your support now more than ever.
  19. I think he's referring to the colored broad (since we're going back to the 50's) but he doesn't realize she's not yet part of the court in that regard.
  20. to be fair, despite my hyperbole, most people who consider themselves Pro Life don't think about this like we do here. I understand that. But someone has to. Too many people are legislating to try to control what they think is immoral behavior. Its more than that.
  21. exactly as the founders wanted it.
  22. Frankly no. There's too many caveats and potential exceptions for there to be a a reasonable basis for a law to be written that's fair. Ultimately it should be left to the woman and her doctor. That's how I would prefer it. But if you wanted to have something I would listen to a ban in the third trimester with exceptions for rape, incest, and health of the woman. By health I mean complications. I wouldn't restrict it to "life in danger". The woman and the doctor can decide what that means. Not a legislator or judge with no medical training or background. I trust women that they would not want to go through that unless there was a good reason and same with the medical provider.
  23. Is it not only appropriate but also a moral imperative to use lethal force to stop what you know would be the murder of a 10 year old? I think so.
  24. Or to flip it around it's anti life to go on the ventilator because according to the religious nuts only god should decide when life begins and ends and by going on a vent in the first place you are going against god. See how complicated medicine can be when you invoke god? Go research how the Pill was developed and all the pushback against that at the time. Those people are alive and well today and will be in charge of female medicine thanks to these 5 justices. They think taking a pill to prevent pregnancy is a sin.
