The memes and jokes around all of this were top notch... yeah Gillis is probably going to want to transfer.

The Vegas Golden Knights play at T Mobile Arena, which is behind NY NY. I've been there twice during the season and tickets were impossibly high. The Tropicana site is on the southern tip of The Strip and frankly, it's kind of dead down there. Once you reach NY NY and MGM you turn around and go back North. And I don't expect visitors to go to a game in the summer if it's outside. Vegas in the summer is very hot and uncomfortable.

If an officers body cam is off then anything they suggest as having happened should be ignored.

A friend of mine was at the Fox show and is photographed fist bumping him as he walked off the stage. He was able to contact the photographer to get a print of it to frame for his house. So sad. Not long after that he’s gone. He texted me after the show. He only got one ticket so I couldn’t go. I went to bed. In the morning I saw he was gone. So surreal. this song was my favorite of the entire era and movement and they wer my favorite band. More so than blackhole sun.

There is. But again the difference is when you imply that your choice to do that makes you a better person than the one who didn’t choose to do that. Saying “I want to do this” is not the same thing as “you should do this and you won’t be truly fulfilled unless you do” which is what kicker boy was doing. Why is this confusing?

I couldn’t tell who was Crocket and who was AOC in the dialogue off camera.

The difference is you both made the choice for yourselves and didn’t need and shouldn’t have had anybody else deciding that path or making comments on what you chose to do and why. His comments reek of “let me tell you what’s best for you…” and that’s where the insult occurs. Just keep your mouth shut about what women should do. It’s none of your business. And totally unrelatable coming from a pro athlete raised by a mom with an andvanced degree. And it’s not just men who do this. Women struggle with other women making judgements on their choices. Those who want to work are judged for not putting their kids first or for not even having kids. Those who stay home are judged for “just” doing that. Once my wife was asked “oh you have to work?” In a very snide way at a chick gathering not long after our kids were born. She said “I’m sure we could make it work but I enjoy getting out 2-3 days a week using my degree and being around adults”. We saw that same lady about 15 years later at a 40th birthday for the mutual friend. She was divorced.

I’m not going to fault someone for punching back. There’s no victory anymore in taking the high road.

From what I heard the ESPN reporter say happened as he observed it. There was a backup from an accident. He went around that to get to the front of the gate. They are in marked cars identifying them as players. He drove past a cop car and a cop jumped on the car and then he stopped the car after about 10 yards Then the cop dragged him out. I don't think he's acting entitled. He's a participant in the event so it's natural to assume they are given instructions to safely go around any backups and go to the front of the line to be let in whereever they need to go. The cop could have easily figured this all out instead of being dramatic.

my quote was about the video of the girl trying to get ice cream.

No it's not. Tired of the media playing this out as if it's just normal banter and both sides need to cool it. The gentle bear from Georgia cannot handle a black woman as her peer, that's her problem.

Props to Scottie for completely keeping his cool. Didn't play the "Do you know who I am" card, just did what he was told. I understand they are in marked player courtesy cars. He didn't know it was an accident. Just assumed it's fan traffic and that's whey they have marked cars, isn't it?

that was everywhere yesterday. I shared it as a story and it kept showing up from a ton of other sites too.... I wonder what the story behind it is. I love it.

And it's especially rich when seniors on medicare are against "socialism". They claim "Well I paid into it all these years..." Yes... through taxes. That's how we fund the government. They don't realize where the money comes from.

I just bought out two leased vehicles and my rate is about 6. Not worried as I will pay them off early. Drive them into the ground and hopefully buy another in cash as a retirement gift in 11 years and be done with it.

and slightly related... a long time small business closes after the owners get old... "Oh, that's a shame. I loved that place. So sad" "When was the last time you went there to shop?" "I don't know... 1996?"

and remember you had the strike the year before, then the replacement players in camp...

ask anybody who worked in the restaurant industry how Sunday afternoons absolutely sucked b/c of the church crowd coming in... and how mean and awful the people were. I remember when they would talk about jobs involving sin and sinning. I'd ask "Can you be bartender even if you don't drink?" They'd say "No, because your job involves other people sinning". I always thought about that and the fact they would say working on Sunday was wrong if you had to miss church but if was often the busiest day of the week because of all those church people making others sin.

Gibby retired the same day the team traded Mike Henneman. I think he'd just had enough. He wasn't happy with the organization. They traded David Wells a few days prior. I remember listening to WDFN, Jamie and Gregg, and they were interviewing a Tiger, maybe John Flaherty, and right in the middle they say something like "Uh... Kirk Gibson retired?..." and Flaherty didn't know and he just said he had to get off the phone.

You mean when he didn't want disabled/disfigured vets around? "nobody wants to see that"
