  1. Wanna dabble in math? Go into the CBA/roster rules and figure out CBT or draft pool calculations.
  2. If you watch the game, they run there anyways, especially RHB. This will just eliminate the Trea Turner play, and the incentive to just peg a player in the back if he is running there.
  3. My only take on the Colorado Supreme Court is it is kind of sad a court has to make that call. I just can't see how January 2021 hasn't made Trump a non-starter for so many. Just pathetic idiocy from the right wing.
  4. I doubt SCOTUS lets that stand.
  5. True, my tongue-in-cheekness may not have translated.
  6. I went on to explain that.
  7. It does affect youth injuries. But the science points to Lee's point. Velocity higher = Elbow risk.
  8. Now, now... the broadband companies don't raise your rates. What they do is create additional tiers with higher rates that you need to upgrade to in order to handle the streaming. Either way, i forgot to mention. I upgraded my speeds in that change from Comcast to ATT. Some Smart TV's don't handle it as well as others. I had an LG, and it's built-in capabilities were complete garbage. Plug in the newest generation Chromecast (probably costs about 40 bucks or so), and it streams with no issues. So in 2023, I basically saved $1,000 for the cost of not being able to watch Rays or Marlins games.
  9. I have NFL Network on Hulu Live. MLB Network is not, however they don't have exclusive games and almost everything important (like the draft lottery) is simulcast online for free.
  10. Honestly, evaluate and ditch cable if this goes through. Switching from Comcast Cable+Internet to Hulu Live + ATT internet is saving me about 80 bucks a month. The only thing I don't have with Hulu are the Bally stations, which for me means Rays and Marlins games. If this results in blackouts being lifted and games moving to prime, you can ditch cable, subscribe to Prime and come out way ahead.
  11. I've been streaming baseball for 18 years.
  12. While this is true. I'm not asking people to vote for her for President. I'm asking them to vote for her as a nominee to try to put a dagger in Trump's political career. There is a difference.
  13. In Florida, because the primaries are months apart, I can register R for the presidential primary, then choose which party I want to register in August. Probably D then, but that depends on races and if there are any primaries.
  14. I'm registering with the R's to vote for her in the primary and suggest others yearning for that side to ditch crazy to swallow their pride and do the same.
  15. Pecota = not too high on the Tigers bats.
  16. I see BP put out some advanced bare bones Pecota today. I won't be able to dive in until this evening, but there are some Tigers I am curious about.
  17. Granted, I was making some chili paste a couple hours ago and some splattered into my eye, so NOTHING is clear at the moment. However, I'm not sure this is as clear as you state. His defense has tailed off to the point where he can't handle the position. The defensive grades on Fangraphs stand out like a sore thumb. So with Turner, you are likely looking at a DH. He would be an upgrade on Miguel Cabrera, but with a crowded outfield, you are likely sitting one of Canha/Greene/Carpenter to get Turner in the lineup, and I'm not sure that is much of an upgrade, if at all, especially once you factor in the steep decline from age 38 to 39. (For what it is worth, the Prospectus defensive metrics had Turner above average last year. Savant is in line with the Fangraphs numbers).
  18. The local paper here literally exposed and brought down a corrupt scheme by the former mayor and the local city owned utility to privatize it and take kickbacks. That journalist is thankfully still around and a big reason why I pay for the local paper.
  19. This is where I am at, except both Detroit Papers and the Jacksonville paper are Gannett owned, so I wonder how much local journalism is being served by me subscribing there.
  20. Leonard plays all over because he isn't a good defensive shortstop. Kreidler is a good defensive shortstop and is much more viable if you want somebody who can play the position.
  21. Kreidler, McKinstry...

  23. Wingenter is back on a minor league deal.
  24. Chafin got a club option. I'm sure if the Tigers went back to Flaherty at this stage and said "actually, we want to tack on an option year," that would likely go over like a lead balloon. He likely wanted a pillow contract, betting on himself.
  25. They knew the 4th option was coming. It just wasn't public until last week. I had it in my calculations and if they have anybody working on that stuff in the FO, they would have it too.
