  1. Chicago White Sox... Are they really this bad?
  2. On another note, two weeks ago, people wanted to shoot Scott Harris into the sun for presumably not kicking the tires on Michael Fulmer. Today? If Michael Fulmer were in this bullpen, he would have by far the highest ERA of anyone currently in there. Interesting how things change.
  3. I won't beat a horse dead, but I'll just say that AJ's interview on 97.1 last week provides a pretty good summation of how we should approach Tork and Greene. But when fans are involved, that's easier said than done.
  4. Not that it would be for Malloy, more likely Kreidler, but one could see him being sent down in the next few days. Just hasn't done much
  5. Tork has been incredibly frustrating this year for all the reasons you state, no doubt. And your comment wasn't really what I was referring to either. I appreciate the contextualizing that G2 was sharing (and some of what one can draw from Statcast) because it helps given an idea of where a hitter is at and where they need to improve. I don't see it as excuses for poor play or a lack of concern.
  6. Concerning, yes, absolutely.... I just think G2's posts about Exit Velo wrt Tork is an example of trying to add context or perspective. There's nothing wrong with that, not sure why it's getting mocked.
  7. Of course not. Not sure where you're getting that.
  8. OK. Just declare him a bust and move on lol
  9. And he nearly hit a home run in last night's game lol....
  10. I'm not surprised they are drawing ire.... I'm just saying that Spencer is taking the lions' share of it. When Riley looks worse currently. It's part "box score scouting", but also just working off last year's notes.
  11. Her certainly looks a lot closer than Greene at the moment, yet draws most of the ire it seems like
  12. Craig Monroe caught on hot mic actually being critical lol
  13. Man, Akil needed a good game!
  14. Lorenzen is basically as advertised.... just doesn't have great command and it shows. Belongs in the bullpen, no accident that's where he's been most of his career
  15. It's cynical, but his age (and the fact that she would be a chief rival in a theoretical contested primary) and how she has been used the past couple of years makes some sense.... wouldn't surprise me now that Biden has declared and more or less cleared the field of any viable challengers if they give her more to do.
  16. I also think we need to put things in perspective - this is likely at best a low-mid 70s win team and we are coming off of a 2022 where one of their most consistent starters was Drew Hutchison.... there are concerns here no doubt, particularly if the injury bug comes back in a big way, but I don't think they are any worse off than in 2022 rotation wise. If they (ie. Fetter and Co.) could manage to piece things together during 2022 and keep the wheels from flying completely off the cart, I think they can manage with the pieces they have right now to keep things somewhat in-line this year as well.
  17. Innings limits on starters during the first few weeks of the season. It's been a pattern throughout all of the minor league teams within the system regardless of start quality.
  18. Credit to Silver on this one.... one of many perplexing moments from the 2022 Midterm Cycle for the Analyst class
  19. Don't necessarily disagree with the overall point, but the degree to which innings are performance based versus organizational directive, especially with it being April, is unclear
  20. I think this is right... The reality, and something that the media doesn't seem to get even after the surprise of the 2022 Midterms, is that a portion of Biden's disapproval being about his age makes that a soft disapproval and doesn't automatically mean those folks are voting Republican. I know a few folks personally who fall into this category - they will be racing to the ballot box to vote against Trump next time around. Biden's age just isn't a factor
  21. Skubal is throwing a bullpen soon, so that is potentially one guy to add back into the mix at some point relatively soon. But I agree with the overall point... would not surprise me if Eggbert gets some starts as well at some point
  22. The Tigers and Guardians are now equal in the loss column lol
  23. Gotta say, Mea Culpa to Fetter, The Saint of Bullpens. Two weeks ago, I doubted, and I was wrong.
  24. He did... that ball to Voit was ridiculous
