Pitching is the one area where Harris can leverage his second core plank as he explained in his presser... This org has shown enough to suggest that guys can come here and improve under the Fetter and the pitching dept. I don't think they are getting multiple new starters, but one would be good - particularly if there's another Carlos Rodon type who can be signed for a shorter length

This is one thing that particularly bothered me with how this year played out... one of the worst offenses in the modern era and yet (at least until Al was canned) tepid interest in making 40 man moves to bolster the roster. Even if they were marginal or involved some risk. The Giants did a lot of this. But also teams like the Orioles who have risen in the ranks have found value on the waiver wire and have found contributors in the process.

It's an interesting question. It seems like a wise move for Farhan and the Giants to extend him given the circumstances

I really like this hire, and it is nice to see the franchise upend people's expectations in terms of being creative and casting a wider net. Harris wasn't on many radars.

I like him, although the big question is whether he can develop any sort of power stroke.

It's a complete ****show where we are mostly because demand is already high as it is compared to the national average. Next to impossible to find a house for rent for under $2k, which wasn't the case pre-pandemic.
