  1. Grossman gives them the best chance to win... definitely most important consideration when 19 games under .500 👍
  2. Bally's presentation across all of their markets is terrible, not just Detroit. Especially when compared to the ROOT Sports/ATT Sportsnet markets like Houston or Seattle or Pittsburgh. For whatever reason, they all seem to invest more in presentation. Apple's biggest problem is the announcing. I can ignore all the gambling stuff, but they are just the perfect marriage of great presentation and truly terrible announcing. Particularly in the early slot.
  3. Taking legislation that helps our vets hostage because of Washington political inside baseball There truly is no bottom with these clowns.
  4. Pleased to hear this with respect to Skubal, but I would certainly hope the dont value Soto the same as Skubal.
  5. Under. I would lean for 2 as well... Jimenez I'm kinda 50/50 on, there have been a lot of press clippings on him but also was suggested on the radio broadcast (with Cody Stavenhagen in booth) that the market for his services was light thus far. but things can change fast
  6. I've watched quite a few different broadcasts since having the MLB.TV subscription. I agree with some of what was written, but a few disagreements: White Sox - Benetti is actually pretty good. Stoney? Ehh, he may be mailing it in some, but to me they are the best broadcast in the AL Central. Orioles - The comment about Jim Palmer is sort of unfair... he does talk about the past some, but he's still pretty well read and up to date on today's game as well. Usually learn something from listening to him and he clearly puts in the work, which compares favorably to Jimmie P. Diamondbacks - Don't care much for Brenly but Steve Berthiaume is way better than Shep IMO. He's come a long way since Sportscenter. Padres - Its an interesting pairing, Orsillo is great but overall Mark Grant is a bit too much of a clown for my taste. They find themselves at times talking about anything but the game. Particularly when the Friars are losing. Just a few thoughts, others who know otherwise may disagree.
  7. Dillon Dingler must enjoy playing Reading... just hit his 3rd homer in 5 games!
  8. Still blown away by this. Is there a reason why an error on the pitcher shouldn't count toward ERA? Maybe there is, but it seems bizarre to me
  9. Fun fact, because of the error that Law himself committed, all four of the runs he gave up are unearned. His ERA? 0.00. Can't make it up!
  10. I believe that Law is a direct consequence of Chafin being unavailable, although one wonders if selecting literally anyone else may have been a better option
  11. This take is aging like a glass of milk left out in the Texas sun lol
  12. He's this year's Ian Krol. lol My guess is he's gone whenever Peralta comes off his rehab assignment
  13. To be fair, they basically had a bullpen game yesterday and options are limited. But the staging of appearances leaves a lot to be desired.
  14. Gonna give AJ the benefit of the doubt on pulling Hutch given that he'd be facing the lineup for the third time. But almost seems like they needed more of a leverage guy to face the top of the order, even if its the 6th
  15. Nice of AJ to give Derek Law the top of the Jays order to mark his return to the bigs lol
  16. Have complained a lot about Drew Hutchison in the past, but he has largely done the job in this latest stint. Credit where credit is due
  17. Agreed.... would not be all that surprised if it's just Fulmer and Chafin at this point as well. For better or worse.
  18. Maybe you're right, although at least around here, most seem realistic about what Fulmer/Chafin would return.
  19. Fulmer and Chafin aren't likely to be long term options regardless, so they seem like the easiest to trade. Jimenez and Soto are a bit trickier. The price for Joe is rising, and they should be willing to walk away without the right deal with both of them.
  20. Exactly. Even for the remainder of this year, as good as Fulmer and Chafin have been, I don't know that there's a massive drop off between them and slotting in Vest or Foley. The difference will come in replacing them, but yeah, I kinda operate from the place that Fetter will be able to work with guys to make them servicable
  21. Depends on what can come of guys like Vest and Foley. If Foley pitches like he did last night, it might not be a huge drop off from Fulmer
