  1. Remember when everyone thought the Tigers should claim Keuchel? Pepperidge Farm Remembers
  2. Normally can't stand Todd, but he's asking the right question here. People need to understand the ramifications of this ruling.
  3. "To Beau Brieske!!!"
  4. Yeah, exactly. You aren't gonna break the entrenched two party system in this country when the risk of voting third party means that you take the power to select the Executive out of the direct power of the voters and place it with the Legislative branch. Voters know this and act accordingly. It's such a stupid system, yet many will still go to the mattresses to defend it, arguably on purely partisan grounds.
  5. And Trump just sits there like a grinning bobblehead when she says it. But the media will pass because something something both sides something something.
  6. Yep, that was the real deal!
  7. Honestly, I was kinda pissed at the time that AJ wasn't pinch hitting for him. Glad he went with his gut lol
  8. We laugh. But a 0.35 ERA is not sustainable. Glad the correction came tonight!

  17. I think the bigger problem is that third party votes don't really have a lot of value in a first past the post system, particularly when votes are allocated by the Electoral College. I doubt Amash changes that. I would love to have a voting system similar to France where it's based on popular vote and subject to a runoff when the top vote getter is below 50%... it would ensure more options for the public and that whoever wins would be the consensus choice. But that will not happen here.
  18. Situation: 2 Men On, 2 Out, Bot 7th, Baltimore up 2-1, Lance Lynn wavering having thrown over 100 pitches, White Sox pitching coach Ethan Katz at the mound for a visit. Orioles Announcer Kevin Brown: "So, is this a wise move to stay with Lynn here versus a pitching change?" Orioles Color Commentator Jim Palmer: "Probably not." Result: Infield Single, HBP, Pitching Change (Jose Ruiz), Bases clearing double, 6-1 Orioles More brilliant managing from Tony L
  19. Again, people need to realize that not every election is gonna have the perfect candidate in it. Most dont, tbh. And the fact that it doesn't have the perfect candidate doesn't mean that it is worthless to participate in it. That doesn't mean that pressure shouldn't be applied to candidates to do what they can to advance an agenda or to be better, but when the rubber meets the road, in any election, you get to live with one of the two people for 2/4/6 years. And it stands to reason that people should want a say in who that person is. Regardless of how good or bad the options are.
  20. Idk about that... are all those corps that have relocated to Texas or Florida gonna just leave over this? Maybe a few employees start looking elsewhere. But I doubt it is much. People generally don't move purely for political reasons and I doubt that changes here.
