2 of the ball calls were actually strikes. 2-1 and the k pitch at 2-2.

After 3 overturned strike/ball calls, they should make a rule that umpires have to be changed. Its ridiculous.

Name the meltdown Flaherty inning. I say the.....4th inning.

The inability to get hits or score any runs had more to do with Seattle's pitching than it did with the Tigers lineup.

I'm not sure who this home plate umpire is but he makes an excellent case for robot umpires. He's called at least 8 outside pitches, strikes. Just horrible.

Call it gaining confidence...call it "don't let the Tigers get hot"....or whatever...winning is fun. We beat a very good team tonight...pitched well..hit well and meh defense. A nice win.

Last week, I would say the Tigers can't win when scoring only 3 runs. But with a rested bullpen and our new determination, we can do it!!

This weekend will show us if the Tampa series was on outlier or the new normal. This looks like a potent offense and these guys are gaining confidence so hopefully we keep winning.

Agreed. The ability to throw strikes coming out of the bullpen should be the most important thing. 1st inning struggles are pretty common with some starting pitchers...Madden has too small of a sample size to get a good read on him. But yeah, in Toledo he could stay stretched out and be back here to help when needed. JV and Flaherty'sh effectiveness is still questionable and Skubal and/or Mize may get dealt.

Ty Madden is going to the bullpen but the Tigers are going to have to make some decisions on which 5 starting pitchers to use soon. Montero, Mize, JV, Flaherty, Skubal, Valdez and Melton. Flaherty to the pen and Montero to Toledo? I guess much depends on how JV and his hip hold up?

No Tigers today so I watched Cleveland against NY. Rooting against Cleveland meant I was rooting for NY. And yes, I now need a shower!
