    And it's a real cop out when you hear people say "well, the guy you wanted to trade for didnt do any good, anyway." Like anyone could predict future accomplishments. Making trades for established players shows that at least you're trying to get better. And never, ever, stop trying to get better. Its literally his only job.

    They increased the payroll to ~$200 million and decided to tank? When Harris never makes any significant trades? No way, it's just very poor management, injuries and players not performing. A perfect storm of suckatude. Not going to go into a conspiracy theory level.....

    No, using analytics is a good thing, used properly. Just like anything else, used incorrectly and it can be a disaster.

    Hire Al Avila back. Did anyone notice Avila's guys helped us make the playoffs the last couple of years and as Harris constructs this roster, we've regressed to one of the worst teams in baseball? We'll easily lose 100 games. And with Harris' inability to make trades, Skubal and Mize will be walking with nothing but draft pics in return.
