    Carpenter, Greene, McKinstry and Vierling. The problem is a backup for CF. And too many LH bats. At SS we have McKinstry as the only backup, Short has a spot until Javy gets back.

    So Jones is a better hitter against LH pitchers then Carpenter. And Short is a better hitter against LH pitchers than Keith is. With Perez, Short, and Jones in the starting lineup, the Tigers will be shutout. Pathetic, lazy managing. Forget platooning, it isn't working...put your best hitters in the starting lineup. This is one of the reasons we're 15 games under .500.

    Short should only ever be used in late innings as a defensive replacement. No starts, no total lineup black hole. But yes, they need a capable backup shortstop. McKinstry can play there but I would say it's his weakest position. Put him in RF and bench Perez.

    In 2024, I really liked Hinch. Late last season, I started getting irritated by his smug demeanor. This season, I cant stand looking at him or hearing his patronizing bull****. Fire the idiot already.
