I would pay to see Skubal pitch. The guy is a bulldog.

I really don't like the platoon of 3rd base, 2nd base, CF and RF. I know all about splits but having so many positions platooning doesn't allow players to get comfortable. Put your best players in the game, quit pinch hitting for them and see what happens. We see what happens the way things are being done and It's. Not. Working.

Our pitching coaches get a lot of credit helping pitchers get the most out of their abilities. Some coaches do get credit, especially when a part of the team does really well. Whoever is coaching our hitters isn't helping them to succeed. Either all the hitters stink or aren't being coached properly. Maybe a combination of both?

I don't see this Tiger organization signing any current player longterm. Skubal will be moved as he gets closer to free agency, whenever that is. And you're right, I don't see the Tigers taking on any established and expensive players either. I guess we just need to be patient and let Harris keep making minor deals and see if we get lucky.

Of course, our ace shouldn't be moved. At least, not yet. Greene? Keith? If the deal is right...maybe.

I don't want Harris to panic or listen to people screaming to do something and end up trading some of our young talent. IMO, Jung, Max Clark and Jobe should all be untouchable. Maybe Olson too. Everyone else should be available. This offense totally stinks and we're wasting very good pitching. And if we start getting injuries to our staff, we may end up giving the WSox a run for last place. ALL the hitters are slumping? Maybe make a coaching change? This approach to winning the battle to two strikes isn't working...

But on the bright side, we have a really small payroll. Making huge money will keep the team afloat for years to come. And with the fast games, it's less time having to suffer through each game. Kinda like a fast root canal. 😅😅

Who do you suggest the Tigers replace Javy with? Harris may have wanted to but wasn't given the money to get a better replacement? He should quit? The Tigers have more problems than just a light hitting shortstop.

This is good. Yes, we could easily get two games going of kids our age group. Many times, we would sit and watch the big kids before they finished and we got the good field. Even as 10 to 12 year olds, there was still groups of 16 to 18 year olds playing. And with their generations having less children, there just doesn't seem to be as many kids who play baseball. I mean, kids can't even ride a bike without a helmet and kneepads. You think mommy is gonna let little Timmy get beaned by a 40 MPH pitch? Yeah, I don't think so. I'm such a boomer...

It's almost...funny? How can any pitcher have such bad luck? One run in 9 innings is all the kid needed. This can be a problem going forward. If he thinks he has to be perfect with every pitch, he could start struggling. Can the kid hit? He couldn't be much worse than some of these " professional" hitters. 😅😅

And Kreidler doesn't have much more offense. No, Harris was saddled with Javys contract when he got here. And we don't know the details of whether he wanted to cut him in the off-season. Maybe Chris didn't want to eat his contract. Maybe he just couldn't swing a deal for a replacement. We just...don't know.

I thought I never saw anyone swing as hard as Javy but then I saw Josh Bell last night. A LH Javy...only a much bigger guy.

With the pitch clock speeding up games, this 6:40 start time is way too early. These games being over by 9 PM suck. And a morning Sunday game? I hope the stadium is empty and nobody watches. It's just a huge money grab, just like those horrible uniforms.

The Tigers only other SS options are just as bad on offense. And much worse on defense. Is there any teams out there that has a ML ready SS in the minors who's blocked at the ML level that needs pitching? We'll give them a choice or Manning, Mize or Flaherty. Olson and Skubal (and Jobe) should all be untouchable.

Hopefully, he busts out of that slump and hits a dozen Tork Bombs in the next 10 games or so. He's pretty hot right now, a 7 game hit streak? If we could get Riley and Torkelson hot at the same time, we may start being more consistent in scoring runs.

Team or player option in that 4th year?
