The Vikings had the week off to prepare for the Lions. And I'm sure they had this game circled the same way we had Dallas and Seattle circled. And in reality, we weren't going to go thru the season with only 1 or 2 losses.

The length of all the commercials destroys the flow of the game. Unbearable.

Soto is only 25 years old. He'll be 26 this week. And he's about to be very, very rich. The Yankees will pay him.

And it bothers me when somebody posts a link that looks really interesting and it's a paywall. It mostly happens on Twitter.

I don't have a good feeling about today against a rested Vikings team coming off their bye week and eager to prove themselves against a powerful Lions team. Hopefully, Ben has a good game plan for getting the ball out quickly, the Viking blitz a lot. They're also really good against the run, even though they haven't played against a great OL like the Lions have. Lions 31 Vikings 17

I don't think Holmes will make a move until he sees the Lions get burned several times because of no pass rush. Why trade away draft capital if the Lions just keep on winning?

Yes, I'm impatient. When 50% of the teams in a league make the playoffs, all you have to be is average to stumble into the playoffs. The Wings have been below average for too many years. I guess I didn't see a 7 or 8 year rebuild happening.

True, the Stafford trade jump started an impressive rebuild. Brad may have drafted us into a good team without the trade, who knows? But I don't think Stafford will stick around for a Rams rebuild, he'll probably be traded. Or retire....

Wow. I could see 2 or 3 years without a playoff appearance but this is never ending. And the year we were close, Stevie sold instead of bought because he didn't consider us serious contenders. I love Yzerman but he wouldn't be the first great player that didn't deliver a winner for the Wings.

Fans have had patience with Yzerman. But pretty soon, enough is enough. Not making the playoffs in the NHL for this long is ridiculous. How long has it been, 7 years?

I saw in the Free Press this morning that the Rams may be headed for a rebuild. Ha-ha Matthew, you could have stayed in Detroit but you didn't wanna go thru a rebuild. It sure sucks being you, but at least you got a ring. Enjoy a few seasons of double digits losses.

This. AA++. Holmes built a core of this team that will be around for several years. We need an edge rusher more than we need future draft picks. Find out what we could offer the Raiders that they wouldn't turn down. 2 first round picks and a 2nd rounder? We'll survive and it may put us over the top. Or....hang onto the picks and draft more depth for our offensive line. It's just about the only part of the team that needs attention in the next couple of seasons. Free agents would fill that need, make the move and get Crosby in here, would he probably need a couple of weeks to learn our defense?

This makes the most sense. Trading draft picks isn't something Holmes has done, other than during the draft. But this team has talent all over the field that is under contract for a few years and is going to be here for the forseeable future. Holmes has already built a Super Bowl contender, now use draft stock to get us over the top. Personally, I don't see him doing it, it's just a pipe dream but I wouldn't be against it. I wanna win and I wanna win this season...
