I agree about the way they did away with onside kicks, but I think it's like when BB did away with throwing 4 pitches for IBB. There was no reason to do away with it, but it won't actually make much of a difference to the game now that its been eliminated.
Looks like a good deal for the Mets. Wish the Tigers would've signed him for that. Would immediately be the Tigers best hitter, and could serve as a mentor to the young'uns.
I'd say if a starting pitcher goes as least 5 innings, and his team wins, he should get a W. Relievers get holds and saves, wins should be for SPs who pitch at least 5 and their team wins.
I like it. anything that puts excitement and anticipation in the game is good. Touchbacks got to be so predictable and boring. When the receiving team actually returns the ball you sit up and watch. But I thought they wanted to do away with returns because of injuries, so not sure how this helps. They moved up the kickoff to reduce returns, now they're making rules to increase them.
The joke is not about killing people. The "joke" is about the ridiculous claim and far reaching consequence of claiming a president has "absolute immunity".
What made it click for me was going from 3 doors to 100 doors. If I pick one door, and the host opens 98 other ones, of course I'm going to switch to the remaining door..
He's not just shuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, he's sweeping the floors, polishing the silver, and putting a steak on the grill. Its still the deck of the Titanic and the hull is still taking on water.
Was a nice season, but I wish there was a little more "we didn't reach out ultimate goal". Too much self congratulation for not actually making or winning a SB for my blood. The fans should be happy, but the FO and ownership can't feel like this is good enough going forward.
