  1. He’d better get a shot at the SHO
  2. We need to be willing to pay Skubal
  3. Outstanding baserunning by Ibanez
  4. Can we please score some runs?.
  5. What a day. Monaco GP, Tigers/Indians, Indy 500, Playoff Hockey, steaks on the grill for dinner, yardwork in between.
  6. No, they play through it for two years at 10% production before finally getting the procedure done to fix it….
  7. Just walk Ramirez every time. Make someone else beat us.
  8. Malloy is not really a weapon at this point. Can’t wait for Meadows to be back.
  9. If ump review isn’t mandated next CBA, the players should strike
  10. I know, it just looks long.
  11. I like Kahnle, but we are way overusing him. I feel like he’s the kind of guy that if you see him once a series, that’s enough.
  12. His swing has always seemed very long to me. When he’s seeing the ball well he’s fine, but otherwise there seems to be a big hole in the swing when he’s not. He’s pretty streaky in that way.
  13. McStinky has been brutal defensively lately.
  14. I imagine he’s just more likely to draw a walk/get on base…which is what we needed down 2 runs at that point. As fun as it is to watch AJ mix and match the lineups and pinch hitters, any roster size more than this would be out of control. Firstly, a lot of guys would be on a roster and get minimal playing time—if any at all. It’s already hard enough to be successful as a pinch hitter—imagine going 7 or 8 games on the bench in between at bats. Likewise, teams would use a lot of those spots on pitchers—meaning the strategy of trying to get the other team to burn their left handers or specialist pitchers would be severely limited and would erase the advantage of having an Ibanez or JHM type. Third, the Dodgers, Mets and Yankees would just have more roster spots to buy up every good free agent. Lastly, teams can barely get 26 positive players onto a squad—would it really be necessary to have an extra 8-10 guys on the active roster if most of them are Kriedlers/Baddoos/Madris/Hicklens/Workmans?
  15. Agreed. A Malloy type is a lot more necessary to have when you don’t have a productive Tork, a productive Javy, a productive Dingler, Vierling and Ibanez on the roster. This current version of the Tigers offense isn’t as desperate for RHH as it was last year. He’s definitely good to have for depth though.
  16. He’s also a zilch defensively though…
  17. I was told they aren’t our rivals last weekend…
  18. Where’s McStinky or Riley?
  19. Can we not hit Ibanez and Baddoo please?
