Back when we played the Dodgers at home and had that big comeback with Keith’s HR and then Urshelas game winner, I was at that game and not only did I turn my hat into a rally cap, but I took the free Detroit Stars hat that was the giveaway for the game and turned that into a rally cap as well. I wore double rally caps and we came back from being down 5 in the ninth to win. I got so many high fives and so much credit from other fans walking out of Comerica that day.

He can “have elbow discomfort”

Hopefully SGL can come back strong

Anderson can go when Verlander gets activated

This game is going to highly affect my perception of Drew Anderson.

Jose Ramirez, Nelson Cruz, Nick Punto

Seems to be less profile/toolsy types and more focus on players who do fundamental things very well, like pitch recognition, plate discipline, and defensive instincts. When they first moved to Comerica Park, they were always trying to get guys who “ would fit the ballpark”……and then we ended up with a bunch of speedy leadoff hitters that didnt get on base (Alex Sanchez, Roger Cedeno, etc.) and below average utility guys who could play multiple positions on the field (Jose Macias, Craig Paquette, Shane Halter). We are finally at the “draft guys who are fundamentally good at the game” strategy

We did this for Keith and McGonigle. Hopefully we can do the same with Max Clark once he gets going and keep that core group together long term.

Considering what he looks like he’s going to become, that’s a great deal
