  1. Understood, but he has no future on this team, and there are guys in the system who do, or at least might.
  2. Get used to it, because you are going to see the exact same one numerous times each game for the rest of the season. About as often as you will see the Find-Pete-Alonso-in-the-Crowd spot. EDIT: Oh, and also, the Great Mascot Race.
  3. That's true, he did toss 87 pitches, so Casey was probably coming out either way,
  4. Do we really not have a better eighth man for our bullpen than Joey Worst?
  5. Well, Mize did pretty fair, giving up only two runs plus a baserunner in 4-1/3 innings. If we could score even an average number of runs, he might still be out there. It's clear that the hitters are going to have to help preserve the bullpen today.
  6. Of course it does! Why would we watch it otherwise?
  7. When is she going to get the Trumpian lips-o-suction already?
  8. And now a "magic loogie" reference from Benetti that Monroe pretended he understood. God, I love having the new guy aboard.
  9. How about the sartorial criticism in the booth today? Seems like it's right in Craig Monroe's humor wheelhouse. Shep would definitely not have engaged in that.
  10. Mets' behind-the-plate camera operator tried to will that routine third-out fly ball by Stariing Marte out of the ballpark.
  11. I don't know that I can blame Riley for that, necessarily. It's not our wall. But he does have to take the responsibility for the outcome. Casey is starting to look just a little rattled now.
  12. A couple of baserunners, but Casey got out of his first inning in two years unscathed.
  13. I don't want to accent-shame anyone here, not even a guy who is objectively terrible at his high-visibility job. But every time I hear Craig Monroe say "extablish", I focus on how weird it is for someone to say "extablish", and I don't even hear what might well be a very well-thought-out idea being articulated after that unfortunate rendering of the word "establish".
  14. Case in point: https://troybrewer.com/2024/01/14/jesus-is-coming-back-as-the-warrior/ And this Troy Brewer guy, whoever the **** he is, is deadly serious.
  15. "I don't know who this Jesus is supposed to be, but he is definitely a CINO."
  16. Not a publication, but OK.
  17. Doesn't whether Trump failed depend on who you ask? Because at least a third of Americans would not agree that he has failed.
  18. Setting aside the whatabouts, the point is that, contrary to your earlier assertion, a respected organization has just in the last two weeks removed Israel from its list of liberal democracies for the first time in fifty years.
  19. It's funny because all non-Europeans are primitive people.
  20. I might argue that the other eight are all the legacy that the ninth, slavery, had and continues to have on that region.
  21. I'm surprised "Celebrate Good Times" and "the Chicken Dance" aren't on there.
  22. Remember, that type of Christian doesn't follow Loving Hippie Jesus and pray for peace and harmony among all the peoples of the world. They believe in Asskicking Warrior Jesus and they pray for their enemies to be vanquished so they can be privileged as the unchallenged leaders of the world until the Apolcalypse comes.
  23. I especially like how you compare Israel's "Freedom in the World" with the United States' "Freedom on the Net", as though they are the same. I almost missed it. Pretty slick!
