    The Dutch side of my family lived near Albany in upstate New York during the revolution, and they were loyalists and had to flee to Canada. Over the years many snuck back down to Albany or filtered down into Michigan and Northern Indiana, which is where my father grew up.

    During a strike, I believe the minor leagues will keep playing, but players in the minors that are on the 40-man roster would not.

    Not to spoil the scoreboard watching party, but depending on which weather app I look at there’s rain on the horizon for possibly all four days in Minnesota. Of course it depends upon which time of day.

    I hope these great young players of ours don’t start coming down with hamstring injuries, nerve issues, and oblique injuries. We’ve had a rash of that at the big club.

    The Tigers scored only nine runs in this three game series on the road against the White Sox. Hope they can get back to their scoring ways in Minnesota.
