What a **** series Vegas vs. Colorado was. I thought this was going to be a fun series to watch. I thought this would be a dog fight and instead the curse of the President's trophy comes through again. Also, how does a jackass and jerk like Tortterella keep getting head coaching jobs yet Babcock is blacklisted for being an asshole?

Crazy to see the Avalanche get swept by a team that had less wins than the Red Wings.

Crazier that fricking Torts is the coach of that team.  I’m floored that his act still actually plays after all these years.

22 year gap between SCF appearances. But now has a chance to be the only coach other than Scotty Bowman to have won Cups with two different teams in the post-Original Six era.

Honestly; I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a playoff with two teams that look so dominant.  It’s like nobody else has a chance.  Can’t fault Minnesota for losing to that wagon.   (Watch both lose in the conference finals now that I said that 😆)

Carolina is on notice!

That’s horrible news. His son found him?  Despite the public bluster I always got the impression he was well regarded among the players.  I remember reading in a book when McCarty opened up with his struggles that Claude slated up to him and said he’s fought it too and would be willing to talk and help him.

And Darren McCarty's tweet implies the same.

Hated him as a player of course, but only because that’s all I saw. Over the years I heard more and he sounds like he was a pretty  decent guy off ice, as evidenced by McCarty and Yzerman. Regardless suicide death is sad. Prayers for those near him who will suffer his loss and possibly feel some sense of “missing the signs”. 😟

By the way, I heard today that Mo Seider's was one of Lemieux's clients as an agent.

Yes and Kris Draper has interacted with him as Seider’s agent. Seems that Lemieux never apologized. (See article below.) As I recall, after the hit, Lemieux made some crack along the lines of Draper should thank Lemieux for making him famous.

Not that it was my place to forgive him, but I never did. Maybe there is another side to him that none of us will ever know. Anyway, I feel terrible for his wife and kids. RIP.
