I've seen him mention it at least five times in his postgame. First two guys make outs, then the 3rd guy hits a meaningless single which doesn't matter. To counteract that, you would need some power but they have very little of it. It’s what always happens when you have a line-up with low OBP. It’s simple math, when individual batters have high probability of making outs, you don’t get many multi hit rallies or men on base leading off innings. Quote
tiger2022 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Schwellenbach on his way to a Cy Young...Oops he's pitching against the Tigers. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 This kid is def a fav to get the vaunted "Cy Young only against the Tigers offense" award. Quote

tiger2022 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 If it wasn't for Mize's draft position, do you think he would be in long relief out in the bullpen? Quote

He doesn’t throw enough strikes or Ks to be a good BP candidate. TBF he doesn’t have enough IP since the TJ to give up on, but it points to how important it would have been to get him into competition before last season ended. Quote

kdog Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 I hear the beat writers say that Meadows will replace Baddoo this weekend. That makes sense. I'm willing to give JHM more time but he has a long way to go. 1 Quote
Dtrain72 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Either Malloy's fast tracking his way back to Toledo, or Scott just needs to pull the cord and keep him and up and go full youth movement and bring up a bunch of Mudhens. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 I know he's young and inexperienced but Malloy looks worse than Parker ever did. Quote

Dtrain72 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Keith Malloy McKinstry Kelly I appreciate the Tigers commitment to astrophysics by attempting to create a black hole with that 6-9 Quote
